I hope that Hammond comes out and states his thought process on the coaching decision. There is a big difference between being rebuffed by JVG and Carlisle and wanting Skiles as your first choice.

Wow. That surprised me a little bit. I guess that Kohl is allowing Hammond to put a long term plan into action.

I believe the no headband rule was from Paxon not Skiles.

In any event if that's what it takes to get rid of Mo and CV, good.

I like it.

Like Xtitan said Skiles doesnt like or tolerate lazy players and players with low basketball IQs which is something I realy like.

With that said, see ya around Mo Willaims & Michael Redd and good riddance.

CV looks extremely creepy without his headband on but we shouldnt have to worry about that because Skiles/Hammond will not keep CV around and if they do he will have a spot right on the bench next to the rest of the players on this team that dont give 100% all the time.

I love that Skiles does not care if he hurts a players feelings...it will be interesting to see the team that Hammond puts around him.

Damn this sucks, we're doomed to 2nd rnd exits, now, I guess its better then 1st rnd exits, but I was hoping for Carlisle or Brown, I thought we wanted to build a contender?????

The more I think about that the more I like it. Maybe it's just being fan and rationalizing things but I like it more and more. It will probably be 3 years and then he will be fired after he start war with entire locker room but it will be good first step to change soft mentality of this team.

Welcome to Milwaukee coach Skiles!

Okay the 4 year guaranteed deal is more than I expected.. I guess that's what it took to get him but, all four years are guaranteed.

The length is really irrelevant. If he pans out, we don't care how long it is, if he doesn't and flames out, he gets fired anyway and Kohl eats it.

Transforming a 26 win team full of misfits to a 2nd round playoff team would almost be worthy of throwing a parade ......

Here's to this being the last coaching thread we see for quite some time. Let's kick this habit of hiring and firing, it's not entirely the coaches but the personnel. Good start John.

This Skiles hire makes me expect a major overhaul of the roster this summer.

Skiles is a hardnosed coach and half of the guys on our roster are softer than drug store cotton.

Redd,Mo & CV all strike me as guys who are pretty much un-coachable.The type of guys who give zero effort on defense and if the coach even says a word about it they (Redd,Mo,CV) get their panties in a bunch.

I just can't see any of those 3 co-existing with Skiles as coach. If those 3 are still on the team there will be several locker rooms fist fights this comming season.

Whatever soft is in the game of basketball,Skiles is the exact opposite of it.
