Target at pick #16?

Post#1 » by i<3basketball » Mon Apr 21, 2008 7:24 pm

Who do you think the 76ers will target with their #16 pick? I'm pretty sure it'll be a PF, so who do you like? Possible Targets include: Darrel Arthur, JaVale McGee, Jason Thompson, Marresse Speights, Robin Lopez. Who knows which will be around and which will actually stick in the darft (Speights)... So who is your target at #16?

i think we trade it deep down...i have a feeling they r going to use that as bait to upgrade the 4 somewhat...i wouldnt be suprised to see it used to try to bring in a guy like wilcox or collison from seattle or even jermaine oneal (eventho i want no part of him, stephanski has been hot on his trail for years in jersey and he seems like the type of guy that could be had cheaply in trade)

cut the middle man out. i don't think there is a rule saying we can't redraft reggie evans.

In this order;

Arthur
Love
Speights
Hansbrough
Lopez
McGee
Thompson
Don't worry, that builds character and you can never have too much character...

hahhahahah

Here's my list then.

1. Current Sixer Reggie Evans
2. Who cares? It's not like they can nail that turnaround jumper in crunch time of the playoffs.

3. Don't forget clutch FT shooting.

We should send all our children to the Sixer's Big Man Camp- with special intensive courses by Mr Evans on clutch FT shooting (grab the rim) and clamping down on the opponents defensively (grab theri ****s)- or just clamping down on them.

Post moves for special players team taught by Evans and Dalembert.

i think speights is a little stronger in the post and a better rebounder than arthur so i would say just going top 5:

1. marreese speights
2. darrell arthur
3. donte green
4. jason thompson
5. hasheem thabeet

i think that they have no shot at getting love and that one of the lottery teams needing a center will reach for mcgee before 16.

If they think Miller's leaving in '09, Augustin.

If they think Miller will re-sign, Thabeet or Arthur.

In the middle of the first round I would be happy to get a decent backup center. I doubt we can find a starting caliber power forward (what we really need) at that spot.

Love will not be there when the 76ers pick at 16. Thompson and Speights will be there. I go with Thompson then Speights. I would love to make a deal to land both. I doubt we can make a deal to land Kevin Love. Let's see how much creativity Stefanski has. I totally would pass on Arthur. He never dominated in this years games. I saw Kansas play more than 12 times this year.

How about a 6'8" PF that drains 4th quarter shots like Ray Allen?

Might be a nice bench addition. I really do not want a three point shooting power forward starting. We need a post presence more than anything.

Going on the premise that the draft pick is a backup/developmental prospect, and the FA is the starting PF, I love adding the new and improved KK to this roster.

Whomever we get needs to be able to defend post players like Howard, Rasheed Wallace, ...etc. those guys just kill us. Hopefully they can score in the post as well since we have no one who can do that either.

I still wonder if Herbert Hill can help in these areas if healthy.

Brandon Rush, CDR, Thabeet, Hibbert would be my first choices at 16

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
