Tough game. I think that defense has to toughen up, and Tracy has to be more efficient. 7/21 is .336 FG%, and 3 TO didn't help the team.

It's not like you guys got routed. We didn't pull away until the last few minutes of the 4th. You came out of the locker room after the half with the right mindset and almost took control of the game, but Sloan got the guys back under control and executing.

So, there's definitely good things for Houston to take away from this game for Monday. That said, I don't really know what adjustments you're going to make, because I thought you had a good game plan. It's just hard to execute because of the talent disparity. It may just come down to McGrady being hot or cold. I think he shot 33% tonight. If he comes out red-hot in Game 2, you could definitely walk away with the split...

If we win the next game I think we really have a shot to take this series to a game 7.
Last year they blew us out in all the games in Salt Lake , the last game against them this season they blew us out.
The players know that we had very little succes there and I feel like we can steal one there .

Yea the talent was a problem. Thats always gonna be a problem. Still these guys aren't being asked to do thing they aren't capable of. I think McGrady needs to have a scoring mindset. I think Jackson needs to make open shots and Scola has to stay on the floor instead of picking up cheap fouls. I thought the Jazz played well as a team. Williams was great. Boozer had some good plays here and there but the drop off between your top two guys and the way the other guys on the team played wasn't as big as the drop off between how McGrady and Scola played compared to the rest of our guys. That was pretty much the difference. From missed layups to bad rebounding. Missing open shots.

There isn't much adjustment to be made. We just have to play better and if thats not good enough to win then its not. But last night was far from anywhere near our best. My only problem is if we can find our best and sustain it against a Jazz team that just does what they do for 48 mins. It wears on you and if we don't get that then it won't matter how we play.

I haven't even seen the general board, nor do I want to, its just going to be a **** load of bashing going on against us. Until we win a game, I'm not checking that board.

I pretty much agree with that, I think. It's clear what Houston needs to do, but they have to come out and do it and they have to force the Jazz off of what they do. I wouldn't be shocked by a split.

Scola didn't shoot very well, but he was playing absolutely out of his mind in any other regard. He was extremely pissed the whole game and it was awesome to watch.

Hey, good thing we traded BattiGAY at the deadline, too. We would be so pathetic if we still had him. What? Oh. This was just further proof that compucomp's not exactly a wealth of basketball knowledge you say? (it is ok to trash complete idiots on this board after they've been waived?

haha better yet would I get waived for calling someone a compucomp?)

Overall, this game was about what I expected. We'll probably play about the same next game before maaaybe eking one out in game 3.

Nah not quitting, we made it this far without the best center, and best player on our team. Also we have had and still have a ton of injuries to our key guys. I'm just saying if this team beats you, save yourself the embarrassment and just leave.
