Who ? The guy who beat San Antonio single handedly and then went to the finals ?

Dirk had 2 bad playoff series' in his whole career.

TMac is a joke nowadays. Already his infamous "It's on me" interview which was followed by yet another 1st round exit is more of an embarrasment than anything Dirk has ever done. Oh yeah, wasn't TMac the one who said that "it is so great to finally be in the 2nd round" just to choke away a 2 game lead ?

Please, at least won't open his mouth before a series just to look like an idiot afterwards.

I saw paragraph two and laughed. Dude your reality is all messed up. Nothing is worst than the MVP of the league losing in the first round to the 8th seed. You can add up all of McGrady's playoff bads and it wouldn't equal what Dirk was involved in last year.

Tell you what Mavs fans. We'll trade you Bobby Jackson, a 2nd round pick, and "considerations" for y'boy.

If I was Houston I would. Good perimeter players are a dime a dozen while good pf's are harder to find. But they would seriously be hurting in the sf/sg position. They would have to trade one or more of their pf's to get a perimeter player in return.

And who is his "tremendous support"

Josh How2ard in the 1st half..okay. Terry sometimes in the 2nd half. But rest of our team, including Kidd, sucks. That includes Howard in the 2nd half and Terry in the 1st half.

Josh Howard, Jason Terry, Jerry Stackhous, and Devin Harris. All of those guys have the ability to create their own shots and create for others. If you can't call that "tremendous support", I don't know what you can.

I still want to know how the Mavs front office thought Kidd was a good idea. It's baffling.

Don't think Dallas would trade a player that has taken them to 7 or 8 straight 50 plus win seasons, to the NBA finals, has been the MVP, for someone who hasn't won a playoff series, ever.

lets get the facts straight...

lets define choking shall we?

choking is something a player encounters when he doesnt make a shot or a play where he is supposed to make them...

when a player is defended well; like double teamed and triple team and misses the shot; like dirk against golden state and his former coach who knows his moves, then it isnt choking..

on the other hand, if a player is left wide open given like hours of day light to hit a jumper; say kobe misses a mid range jumper while being left wide open for the winning shot, then that is choking...

dirk almost singlehandedly brought his team to the NBA finals and to 67 wins the following season... being the ONLY legit all star in the team, unlike other teams who have 2 or 3 stars... you've got to at least respect what he's done...

get the facts straight... a lot of you here are like herd like animals.. hearing somebody say that dirk is this and dirk is that, you just take everything hook, line and sinker... you didnt even bother to look up the definition of choking... jeeez...

obviousy, you havent been watching mavs game...

creating their own shot - YES
creating for others - NO

you know what tremendous support means, its having another legit all star in your team.. give another all-star or two to play in dallas and their gonna go pretty far.... heck give yao to dallas and they'd pretty much go further than where tmac has brought you guys.... all tmac has gave his team was an early vacation... the offseason starts early for his team...

So you're saying that Dirk singlehandedly took his team to 67 wins and the NBA Finals and those other guys are obviously scrubs. Gotcha. How many people can possibly be out there who don't understand that basketball is a team game?

I mean, TMac obviously hasn't done anything other than take a WCF-bound Jazz team to seven games with Rafer Alston and Shane Battier as the third and fourth options and Chuck Hayes, Juwan Howard, Dikembe Mutombo and Luther "What's a dribble?" Head as the only other rotation players. The guy is a total scrub, you're right. Exiting in the first round with that roster is inexcusable and should definitely fall entirely on his shoulders.

By the way, this thread is silly enough, can we at least please get the title corrected?

Grammar nazi. Dirk of Tmac sounds so much more awesomer. It's like kibbles of bits only without the kibbles..

..or bits..

..actually it's nothing like that.

The thing is, that's the only reason I can come up with that they'd have done it, and it's a really, really bad reason.
