Burnett is so frustrating to watch. The guy can strikeout batters, but losses composure too many times and ends up giving up runs. If only he had that composure he would be one hell of a pitcher.

We need a clutch hitter on this team. Watching this team strand runners in scoring position most of the time, and hitting into double plays sucks.

I'm fed up with this team. I'll be back when they get their act together and start winning games. Back to .500 they go, where they belong.

Well, only one thing to say here, they're baaaaaack!

Had no idea who those imposters were in May. But these are your real Toronto Blue Jays.

I dunno Kosta, this wasn't you regular Jays debacle. This was all of AJ Burnett's doing this game. I can count on one hand how many left handed batters he got out, which weren't many. And how is it we make 4th outfielders look like Willie Mays....like come on, Jay Payton isn't anything special.

The hitting was encouraging though, Overbay stung some baseballs, Wells looked amazing as a hitter despite missing a month ( those who say then Jays are better off without him are crazy.) and we are doing this without Hill...

I think the Jays will be back to their winning ways once Accardo gets back and Gibbons realizes Jason Frasor isn't that bad, the next time i see another Brian Tallet sighting if we have the lead, i'll turn the tv off.

A lineup of

RF Rios (R)
1B Overbay (L)
CF Wells (R)
3B Rolen (R)
DH Stairs (L)
2B Hill (R)
C Barajas (R)
LF Wilkerson (L)
SS Eckstein (R)

I think can do some real damage...that won't be until june 13th though since Hill will be going on the DL.

I just saw the highlights for the game and noticed Burnett tipped his cap after he was pulled and got booed. What a dork. :nonono:

What an ass if he did that. I don't like A.J. Just something about him... I don't like his cockiness.. I think he's a narcissistic individual that only cares about himself. I hope he opts out next year, and doesn't return.

Knowing how much pitching is an asset, I can easily see, if the right deal comes around, that JP will deal AJ. He's already got talent coming in Purcey, Romero (ee gads) and Cecil coming, and we always forget about Casey Janssen who will undoubtly either make the rotation better, or the bullpen.

The Jays also designated P Josh Banks for Assignment, since then he's been picked up by the San Diego Padres and has pitched a complete game and has like an 0.40 ERA in 4 appearances....oh JP, he sure has an eye for talent.

I do not think any team will touch him right now. If i was a team trading for him I'd be worried about him not opting out. Nobody wants to pay 13m for a #5 starter.

I'm biting my nails at a frantic pace. I don't think I'll have any by the end of this game.

B.J. better close this game. Don't blow the save B.J.!!

Banks put less than pedestrian numbers in his 2 full years for the Skychiefs. Followed by 3 disastrous starts in 2008 before being let go then another disastrous stint in the Padres AAA after being picked up. There was no reason to call him up but the Padres needed bodies in their staff. Padres hit it lucky with Banks so far. There's no reason to assume Banks is a legit major leaguer. We already learned from his twin brother Josh Towers.

It's good to see Vernon come back strong in his first two games. He's unstoppable right now. ;)
