Great effort tonight by the Rockets. Don't be so sad fellas. Next yr will be a different story if Yao and Alston can stay healthy. As far as the call go's, that was a must call. He clearly fouled AK and hindered his path to get to T-Mac. Plus you already got your no call when Brooks lowered his shoulder and laid out D Will to free up Battier to make a open 3. It is even if anything.
Thursday will be fun, and I expect the Rockets to let it all hang out. Should be fun.

now I realize why Jazz fans are being a-holes.

Their still mad that theo nly realistic time they had to win a championship (when Jordan retired) was when Hakeem pwned them in the playoffs both years.

So now they take solace in beating a Houston rocket team on half a leg.

No, one is possible though.

I've always been around Deron's size and have been hit at various speeds by a bunch of guys that are Aaron Brooks' size. Deron was either trying to flop or tripped. A guy Brooks' size is not going to knock a guy our size down that hard without a lot of luck or me trying to emphasize the hit. Kinda reminds me of when Matt Maloney used to bowl over Karl Malone all the time in 97 and 98.

The Scola deal was a very marginal foul, as Scola was boxing out and Kirilenko tried to run through him, but yes it was callable as a foul. Last I checked you CAN box out in basketball, but there were questionable calls both way. Eehn.

Anyway, there's no reason to get hung up on any of it. The thing I said to some trolling Jazz posters yesterday applies to us too. How likely would it be for the Jazz to win if we were healthy, Okur and Williams were out, and Boozer and Millsap were both playing injured? I don't think the Jazz would stand a ghost's chance under those circumstances, and it wouldn't be any big deal when you lost. Same thing for us. We had an amazing run this year, and the whole scenario is unfortunate, but s**t happens. I still expect us to win a game, maybe even 2, both by a small margin, but won't be surprised at all by a sweep.

There's only so much insurance you can have for franchise players. At some point, you have to be healthy. I think we have plenty of insurance for Yao if Mutombo stays at the level he's at and Landry heals up. But as I've said, we do need more depth at sg/sf.

What we need is Yao to stay healthy for 70-82 games. And the same goes for McGrady.

I dunno as fans we expected our team to at least win 1 at home. Unfortunately we just aren't good enough to do that against a team that went to the WCF last year. Another early exit for us is abound. Can't fault any of the players right now although McGrady continues to fall further and further from greatness.

This is why the NBA playoffs are the NBA playoffs. The better team almost always win. Without Yao we can compete but we can't win. Not against a team as good as Utah.

That's what I've been saying, glad to see you come around :) (that's not to say that we shouldn't still keep adding talent if it's possible)

Fire Rick Adelman. I'm from Sacramento & I know Adelman will play the players into the ground. Every player is playing more minutes this year than their career average. Fatigue is part of the reason players miss freethrows (along with concentration) Yao was injured from playing so much! Chris Webber injured his knee jumping for an Alley Oop pass. Even when we had good bench players Adelman overplayered players. ie: Mutumbo!

Adelman is doing fine. The Rockets have had bad luck with injuries this year and the team as it stands right now just isn't strong enough to get it done against a skilled and deep Jazz team despite some great performances from individual performers. There is no shame in that.

The messed up part is last few years that has been the problem injuries... I think the rockets should give the tmac and yao thing one more year...see if they can stay healthy if not they have to make a play for another star.....add some scoring as well...another scoring option at the 2guard wouldnt be bad.....tmac is doing it all..there is only so much he can do....he looks tired
