All Underrated Team Last 20 Years

Post#1 » by eitanr » Tue Apr 22, 2008 9:15 pm

PF R. Wallace
SF J. Mashburn
C D. Motumbo
SG Ron Harper
PG K. Johnson

-The SG position is most questionable so let me defend the case for Harper. He was a great scorer for the Cavs and the Clipps in the late 80

I do find Rasheed Wallace is sort of just shoved aside when people talk about the Pistons' success. They only thing they seem to mention is his ability to receive technical fouls.

I don't think a lot of people realize just how talented Rasheed is, but I don't think he's underrated. He gets a lot of credit for the Pistons success and got two All Star nods averaging like 14/7.

where have you all been?

Sheed is always talked about, Chris Paul is NOT OVERRATED, and Brandon Roy is really UNDERRATED.

Sheed's not overrated. As someone has mentioned, he's made allstar teams with mediocre numbers, and analysts on TV constantly state he could be the best PF in the game if he tried, which is an exaggeration.

Couple guys I think are underrated. Rik Smits. He's not really going to be remembered in the annals of history but I thought he was the second most important player in that stretch of solid to very good Indiana teams. Ricky Pierce, 20 pt scorer for several years. And as the OP mentioned, Mutombo. Guy is still an intimidating force at age 400, in his prime, he was also a terrorizing rebounder and a pretty decent offensive player.
