How the kings beat 7 of the 8 teams in the western conference playoffs
every team besides the suns
so that shows that the kings could play with the best....I think we just lost too many easy wins.
I think it's funny

What a pointless thread!
No need for comments like that let the mods do there job.
And to comment on the topic of this thread. If you play a team 3 or 4 times you should be able to beat them atleast once. Doesnt really mean a whole lot.

You want to know something...the best way to ensure that I will leave a thread open is to whine and complain about it being a pointless thread. If you're not interested in contributing to the topic, then don't feel obligated to post in it...simple as that.
And bibby1023...no need to tell people to "GTFO" in a situation like this.
Now back to the topic...the Kings would be the #8 seed in the east this season, but in the west they were eliminated from the playoff hunt long ago. In the overall scheme of the NBA, they had a fairly decent year...not great, but decent. Unfortunately decent is not good enough in a conference that is stacked with talent.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Hate being pessimistic but beating good teams once doesn't really impress me all that much. Sure we beat the Spurs but we lost the season series 1-3. Sure we beat the Lakers ONCE, but we lost the season series again. We got swept by the Suns for craps sake. New Orleans we did do well against and we tied Houston 2-2! yay.... Still we showed no signs dominance over any of the teams we'd have to get through to get anywhere.

Well, IMO some of the losses were just as important as some of the wins, the development of the young players was substantial in some of the games. The important thing is that no matter who suited up for the Kings on any given night they played HARD. The wins are not a justification IMO as to why this team can be a "playoff team" or deserved to be there but the fact that they played hard despite everything else going on gives me hope and faith in what's coming down the road for us and our youth if we give it a chance.
I still have hope in the ones who make those decisions, lets see what they can come up with. One way or the other, bring it on!

AND with the mix of old and young people it was to be expected.
As good as some of our people are becoming I don't think Cisco, Martin, or Salmons are ready for primetime.
We don't win on the road
There are a lot of things the Kings just don't do well enough, and besides beating these teams 1 or two times doesn't equate to playoff success. Remember when we'd either split or win season series?

Record against Western Conference playoff teams:

Looks pretty mediocre to me. We had a winning record against a whopping 2/16 teams, an even record against 6/16 teams, and a losing record against 8/16 teams.
