as for david, he never guards dirk very well. maybe he's angry about that.

Players haven't been suspended for a lot worse. Anyway, seriously, its over with.

The Mavs will have their chance to send West a message with their play tonight. Or not. Its completely up to them, and not up to the league or some official...and isn't that what you want?

I am not a mavs fan and I think there should be some action taken against west... So that is not the homer in me talking..

People want to brush it off since west didn't slap or punch dirk, but the action of putting the hands on his face is just not acceptable....

I said it in the thread on the general forum and I'll say it here ... Dirk is not a gangster, OK? He's from Wurzburg, he wasn't raised in the black culture in America, OK? He wasn't even raised in the basketball culuture in America, OK? He played basketball in Europe until he came here as a 19 year old, OK?

Why can't people just accept that he isn't a macho type? Can't we just live with the fact that he's an all-star, all-nba, mvp level player that has taken his team to or past the conference finals twice in his career? If we need a tough guy on the team, go get one. I think people that want to change his game at all are crazy. He's one of the best players of all time, and people want to change him. Build a team around him that complements his skills. How hard is that to figure out?

People look at Dirk's size and expect him to stand up for himself. The worse thing he could do is miss any of the games at this point for stupid decisions. Many former and present stars around the league have players that have been brought on to protect them. Kind of like Hockey teams. While you don't see it much at the NBA level, it's still there, and at some point we need to consider bringing a bulldog on this team.
