Winters was my favorite drought era coach..He got bad rap..He was the one coach who play our youngsters...Richardson and Arenas proved they could play during Winters short term...

PJ is doing a terrific job with the sonics..I'd love to have Wright improve as the season wore on , like Durant and Green did in Seattle..What a waste for GS.

Aldeman easily > Nellie

The other stiffs were as brain dead as Nellie is at 69 years old.

I really like Lanier and thought he deserved a chance but of course didn't get it.

As for Adelman, he was one of my most hated coaches. The difference betwen him and Nellie though, is that he was willing to change, and for the better wheras Nellie will never change. Adelman made adjustments to the league, to the players and the "new NBA" which we have today. He might even be deserving of coach of the year.

Nellie finds it impossible to make adjustments, and knows only one way to do things. If he were just willing to give in a "little" then his superior basketball knowledge and coaching skills would kick in, but he nullifies those by his "quirks" and his dogmatic approach to the way he does certain things.

I never could stand Adelman, ever since his Portland days. But I've got to hand it to him this season, he's taken a Rockets team farther than they got under Van Gundy, went on a long winning streak, and didn't miss a beat when arguably their most dominant player got knocked out.

That would sure be fitting, Karl taking Nellie's job. That would really be coming full circle. Not sure if Karl still has it.

My #1 choice is Mario Elie..Mario and Nellie hate each other...That's good enough for me.
