rockets save cap for 09 summer..marbury is off books a year before tmac...rockets will be 20 million under cap to sign WHATEVER star they want in summer 09. this is happen...they have concluded that rebuilding is inevitable...either this summer or next, so why not save money in the process and get the ball rolling ......you wait another year to do this deal, you risk another tmac back injury and you get NOTHING then in 09 summer..they do deal on draft...mark my words

I think this would be a terrible trade for both teams btw. As long as the Rockets have Yao they're better off with McGrady than with an unproven rookie. The Knicks on the other hand have no use for McGrady when what we actually need to do is rebuild.
