BOS, LA also do as very well oversees with the fans that used to watch the two powers go at a la soccer clubs.

TNT isn't that big of a deal but that helps the ratings outside of North America

I feel bad for Raps and Magic fans who have 3 games on NBATV. What I dont get is why the Hawks/Celts series is getting more national tv coverage when that series is the least competitive of all the series I just mentioned. What is up with David Stern and the NBA?

Why not find a local bar that's going to have all the games? It's ok to leave your dorm.

Blaming David Stern is the easy answer, but it's not like he has control over everything, and you won't have any problem as long as Philly makes it to the second round.

If anyone thinks that Detroit-Phili is going to pull higher ratings than Boston they are delusional. The Celtics always have, and always will be on national TV because they bring in viewers from an entire region of the country.

I think it's because so many people like to see Boston's sports teams win.

It's like the games in the Roman coluseum. The masses love to watch helpless victims fed to the lions.

The last game of the local broadcast on Comcast Sports Net was the highest rated game for that channel ever. Although the sixers won the first game, this one wasn't competitive. The sixer game ended with a 17 point margin, and the celtic game with a 19 point margin. Since the league set the schedule ahead of the Sixer victory in game 1, I think it's a pretty understandable choice that they made. The Boston series will only go 4 games, and it looks like other series will end in sweeps so the Sixers should get at least one more game on national TV.
