Shard Lewis
Has he earned his contract in the playoffs? He's not putting up numbers like Lebron and Kobe but he is doing the little things that go unnoticed...like making huge shots when we need them. I see him doing his post up hook shots and killer 3's...getting 2-3 steals a game in the series...I know its only 2 games..but if he continues avg 2-3 spg in the playoffs with around 14ppg/5 reb/3 assist....I think he is still overpaid but earned more respect.

My guess you missed his stats for game 2 otherwise you might have changed your post or just waited a little longer before you started this thread.

Other then the making of shots I kind of agree he does little stuff which are sometimes tough to notice... he was there when Hedo shot an airball, he playes better than average defense and has upped his assits as well. He will probably never loose the overpaid label but we can say that he does contribute quit nicely...

Except for the what was it 22 shots he took making only 7 and shooting the 3 ball 9 times and missing every single one of them. Yes Lewis is not earning his big bucks very well indeed.

He'll never play to the ability of a max contract. But he's doing things that don't show up on the stats. He played great defense on Bosh in Game 1. Also, I guarantee you that Dwight's numbers would not be as high if he didn't have 'shard roaming the perimeter drawing defenders away from him.
He's doing exactly what we brought him in to do. It's hard to say he's not earning his money based on that.

Considering we haven't won a playoff series since '96, if we even just get out the 1st Round it's worth it, IMO.

Just face it already -- he won't ever live up to his deal. And that's fine as long as he fits in with Dwight, which I think he is... like a glove, actually.
Only way he puts up the numbers of a max guy is if he's the first option (like if, God forbid, Dwight was injured or something).
But on the flip side, if he's the first option, that's probably a lottery team he's playing on because he can't carry a team by himself, so that would also nullify his max money.
It's a lose-lose for him, but he seems fine with it.

Game 1 - Didn't put up the stats, made acouple of 3's. But the big up to him was he was playing good defense on Chris Bosh.
Game 2 - Missed all of his 3's, once again didn't put up the stats, and wasn't effective on chris Bosh because the foul trouble.
I don't know what to say, if he had a below average or average post season so far.

I would say it's average.
The first game he didn't really fill up the stat sheet, but it was more his contribution on the defensive end. He really held his ground guarding Bosh, and that's all we could really ask from him.
The second game, although he missed all 9 of his 3's, he still finished with 18/6/5/3/1, which is a very good statline. I don't expect him to shoot this poorly in the next few games. I've really had nothing to complain about Lewis, except his shooting last night. Had he made 1 or 2 of those three's, the game wouldn't be as close as it was.

Rashard played a very, very good defensive game on Chris Bosh in game 2 as well. Most of Bosh's points came against Howard/Foyle, and of his points against Lewis, almost all came on the FT line.
Raptors put up tons of points when Shard leaves the game, just as Magic offense stalls when Dwight leaves.
