For people that only go on his reputation of not winning a playoff series they naturally assume that he doesn't play well in the playoffs. He does. Although this year has been his worst statistical playoffs. The not scoring more than 1 point in the 4th quarter really isn't good. I mean I could somewhat understand game 1 where it was a 10 point lead going into the 4th. But game 2? There is absolutely no reason he should score 1 point in the 4th quarter of a close playoff game.

Well unless he was distributing the ball excellently and getting a lot of easy baskets but he didn't do that.

This thread starts and ends with Shawn Marion.

Prince has been overrated..he was big early in his career but has fallen off in the clutch since....same goes to Rasheed and Billups to a lesser extent.

Really disagree with Tmac... He doesn't have playoff success, but a lot of that has to do with team success, he's always been pretty damn good in the playoffs, at the very least not below his regular season production.

Also disagree with Barbosa. While he may have a few games here and there against say... the Spurs, where he's a no show, he's the guy that is pretty much the reason why the Lakers didn't upset the Suns in the 1st round a few years ago. He actually was the X-factor/most valuble player in my eyes both the series' against the Lakers.

As for Nash... thats just plain stupid. He's been one of the better playoff performers the past five years, if you can't see that, then your not watching basketball.

Peja... yes and no. He's missed some big shots, and had some no-shows, but he was injured in some of those series'. So far this year, he's been pretty damn good against the Mavs.

Shawn Marion would be a decent choice, because he has a difficulty creating his own shot, and in the playoffs, teams are going to take away easy buckets a lot more, and easy transition buckets.

.... For whatever reason, not a lot of players are coming to my mind right now.

Has T-Mac ever had a team where they were supposed to win? He's had to carry a bunch of terrible teams into the playoffs and its not his fault they lose.

Not all of them were terrible but he has had lots of unluck that's for sure.

Dirk averages 25 and 11 in his playoff career of 84 games.
He's averaging 29 and 7.5 so far in this postseason.
He averaged 27 and 12 in 05-06 when he went to the finals.

The only time he really disappeared and played terribly was last year vs Golden State where he put up under 20 a game on 38% shooting. And he still put up 11.3 boards, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.3 blocks.

Yeah, whoever said Dirk is crazy. Dude puts up big numbers every year in the PO's. Took a hugely over-achieving team to the finals two years ago and always seems to average more in the post-season.

Barbosa, but like Marion, they just don't play that well against the SPURS. They do play well against the other teams.

Uh this time a year ago he had a team that was suppose to win. For the topic though I don't include him as he himself has played okay in the playoffs.

T-Mac is 4th in the league ALL TIME in PPG in the playoffs and that is with the opposing team focusing their defense on him. If T-Mac is considered a no show in the playoffs than all but 3 players that have ever played the game of basketball can be considered no shows.

For the people citing Arenas -- he averaged about 34/5/5 in his last playoff series against the Cavs in 05-06. He hit the game-winning shot in Chicago to give the Wizards a 3-2 lead and eventually win the series in 04-05.

Is he having a bad series now? Sure. Maybe the fact that he just returned from a surgery that kept him out nearly the entire season, AND just sprained his right wrist, AND the fact that he's being restricted to about 20-25 minutes per game have something to do with it.

Last year Jersey played him well all year, including the regular season. This year he's showed up against Orlando. Haters.

Twan Walker, Peja is pretty much the title of this thread, unless its already a 15+ lead for his team, its lilke hes not even on the court. Shawn Marion the best 1 vs 0 player in the league is just useless on O in the playoffs. Jason Terry also is smotherd alot in pst playoffs

caron butler?

Peja couldn't do jack when he was supposed to be "the man" for the Kings.

Steve Francis is a no-show
Josh Howard is weak mentally
Marion

Luther Head - has not done one thing in the Playoffs to help his team.

Shane Battier has been a no-show most of the time.
