Garnett wins the DPOY

Post#1 » by shrink » Tue Apr 22, 2008 8:12 pm

Whoop whoop whoop!

I hope that doesn't mean they'll stiff him on the MVP, but it looks like that's where its headed.

Right now, I think it'll go to Kobe or Chris Paul. While I know play-off basketball isn't supposed to count towards season-end awards, I still hope Kobe loses in spectacular fashion. Chris can just lose modestly.

Congrats. He deserves it for anchoring the best defense in the league.

this year sucks for defensive stoppers, Ben Wallace and Bowen are done, Camby plays for the worst defensive team in the universe, Artest has been excommunicated, KG wins by default

Thing is, Duncan hasn't been an elite man defender for a few years now, he's getting a lot of stuff due to rep and supporting cast.

Anyway, I thought this was funny, when the KG trade went down, I was watching Mike and Mike in the morning, and Doug Gottlieb was on and said this about why the Celtics might not be great.

Doug Gottlieb wrote:KG is a great player, but he was never know for playing great defense

Isn't great defense KG's strongest point? What did Gottlieb think made him a great player?

KG has guarded T-Mac and Yao in the same game before, he's all kinds of versatile.

I'm convinced about 90% of the "experts" on TV couldn't match their knowledge of the game with probably about 40% of realgm posters :noway:
