Nash wasn't the problem. LB and Amare's sloppy play/lack of awareness combined with an inability to get good shots in the 3rd killed the Suns. Maybe going home will help...

Only one man (at least on offense) was present in the second half. And that was despite the Bowen aggressive pressure and the constant help against him.
Again, i ask why the hell is Diaw taking all those crucial shots? Sure sure it's a mismatch against Finley or whoever but after 1, 2, or 3 soft "post ups" from this the soft Diaw????
i might be on the Fire D Antoni bandwagon after this series.

Its crunch time for me and I have not watch any of the games as of yet. all I hear is what my friends are telling me.
There is a chance, but the likelyhood has gone down for the suns to win this. The spurs did what they are suppose to do, protect home court. Suns have to do the same and hope to get game 5 or 7. that is what you have to hope for. Honestly, I think they are done. I love this team, and have been with them for almost 30 years, but this was our last chance to win it. We are getting too old, and other teams are better than us, and are younger. Yeah, that is at the expense of keeping your core, and saving money to ship all those picks out.
Now I like MD as a coach and a person. Real nice guy. But, he is NOT a PLAYOFF COACH!!!!!! Hes a regular season coach and that is it. This staff has its strengths, and its weaknesses. They have not got this team defensive IQ past a high school basketball team. Until they play smart, make crucial stops, they do not deserve to win in the playoffs.

Uh....? Which games are you watching? Last I checked The Spurs are up 2-0 which means you didn't win a game in their building. Next two are in your building....
What I am saying if things hold true to form, Spurs win one of the two in your building...and if it's the 1st one, well...just pull out the broom. At worst, they're up 3-1 going back home.
dude... in 2004 the Spurs were up 2-0 until the Lakers decided enough is enough and won 4 straight games. It aint over til it's over..

When you score 11 points in the third quarter of a f'n playoff game against your biggest rival at the moment, you don't deserve a damn thing.
When you give the ball to Boris Diaw at least 6 times in the post in the fourth quarter and he blows it each and every time, you don't deserve a damn thing.
When you let the opposing guards get to the rim AT WILL, you don't deserve a damn thing.
We lost, no excuses. Terrible, terrible performance. Terrible coaching, everything regarding the free-throw contest (wasn't even a game) was terrible.
Freakin' TERRIBLE!

Dude, you took the words out of my profanity filled mouth. And Nash may be a warrior, but he plays defense like my grandma. And she has been dead for 12 years! The quote about Amare being more like TO than TD- I love him, but that is close to being true. He shows the flashes of brilliance, but disappears in the 2nd half. 11 points in the 3rd, and 5 of them were from Shaq's FT's. And running the offense thru Diaw?????WTF?????? He either missed or turned it over EVERY TIME!!! And when a player under 6'3" scores more points in the paint than your whole team, it's time to worry. Barbs is the quickest man in the NBA, and he can't even keep Parker in front of him. That's just a lack of effort. No wonder the bigs spent time in foul trouble in game 1. They had to cover for the guards' defensive deficiencies. It's just like Miami this year. Shaq kept fouling out because he had to foul the guards on their way to the rim.

I am sooooooooooooooo hurt. I mean...we did the same thing we did in game 1...I just hope we don't do it again in game 3 and 4. The flame sizzled out fast. And why the hell do they keep letting Ginobli through? always the same thing...runs through our defense like they are some tulips swaying in a prarie...goes left...and it's in...EVERY SINGLE TIME. Hopefully this being a home game and all...will bring more drive. The 3rd quarter was a disgrace man. Although on the plus side...I loved seeing Parker getting man handled...lol. I wanted to punch Thomas for his constant whinning...

Let The Games Begin.

Uhh? Dude, make an example with this team being down 2-0 against a defending World Champ and them coming back...hasn't happened

In any case, your example is of the Lakers (a championship team) that knows how to gut out wins.
PHX, while a talented team, has not proven the ability to do that.

That Nicka wrote:You guys can still win this series... San Antonio just did what they were supposed to do: won on their home floor... Just win your games at home and its a best of 3 series
Technically correct, but it's how those games were lost.....In both games it appeared early that PHX would dominate...only to choke up in the 2nd half.
The Spurs are in their head....kind of like the Yankees were in the Red Sox for 86 years.

[quote="mkot"]Nash is such a clutch player...maybe he's just too good of a shooter but he really can't do it alone.
--- Why don't we put Strawbs in on Manu or Parker, just tell him to hound them? Barbs is doing dick, Hill's hurt -what can we lose.
I really wish I were smart enough not to get so wrapped up in this stuff - I was just sick in my guts and in the worst mood by the middle of the fourth.

Here's some excellent analysis of last night's 4th quarter:

Here's another take on the game that I wholeheartedly agree with from Bright Side Of The Sun, one of the better Suns blogs on the net:

Don't think Strawberry would have better than mixed success against Parker/Ginobili...
- The refs and relating to Strawberry's lack of establishment as a defender, naturally being a rookie and with the lack of PT...
- Strawberry's a mature player, but is not that tested in the NBA, and has never played in a playoff game - let alone against the Spurs.
- The offensive ability of Parker/Ginobili
- D'Antoni playing him, how much? Then when things really matter, later in games? No.
To explain the first directly...
