Darrell Arthur
I've been really trying to pin down a good comparison for Arthurs play style and was hoping you guys could help out.

It might be Bosh but I think Arthur's a better defender and lesser rebounder. I'd say he plays a lot like Kenyon Martin and Rasheed Wallace. Sometimes he'll have those type of athletic plays you see from Kenyon, and he reminds me a lot Kenyon on D with his ability to block shots, play good post D, and his good pick&roll defense. On offense though he is a lot like a smaller Rasheed though because his J is good, but at the same time he has some really nice moves in the post.

Watching McDyess last night against Philly reminded me of Arthur. They have similar bodies and both seem to play with similar activity. I saw about 5-6 Kansas games this year and a couple Piston games and it seems that they both tend to vary their aggressiveness occasionally. If Arthur isn't involved in the offense or grabbing offensive revounds he doesn't seem to have interest. From what I've seen, it seemed that at Kansas, Darnell Jackson worked harder but Darrell Arthur clearly had the better tools. Arthur's championship game showed what he is capable of when given the drive, similar to what McDyess is capable of.

Of anybody on that list? Closest to McDyess though Dice had more athleticism before the knee injuries.
Arthur is nothing really like any of the other guys ESPECIALLY not that last two or he'd be talked about as a lock for the top 3-5 which he's not so to those teams with picks late in the lottery...you can stop the fantasies.

in all honesty Marcus Haislip.. arthur seems like your yearly, long, athletic, "doesnt like to be touched" bigman.. very talented, but does he have the balls for the lowpost
Coaching and a slight quickness advantage is the only thing that separates him and Robert Dozier in my opinion.. except dozier doesn't hesitate to get dirty

Haislip actually turned into something of a bruiser playing in Turkey.

Doesn't like to be touched? If you even watched Kansas this season you would have seen Arthur calling for the ball all the time in the post and the guards not getting it to him. Anyone who doesn't think he can play in the low post hasn't even watched him and that is just an ignorant thing to say. He was killing Memphis down low too. He had 2 or 3 fadeaways, some dunks, a nice reverse move under the basket(I think), and he did great down in the post. He's also great at running the floor. He's more Antonio McDyess(prime) than Marcus Haislip.
