Does Woody and Billy get another shot at it?

No way as long as you want me to support this team! You can't keep one or the other!

We have no draft picks, and we are at the salary cap.

We have to do something more drastic than stand pat IMO.

Winning 1 or 2 might give them another run at it next year. What would really be best for this city?

I think we all know the answer.

I didn't think they should be brought back regardless of what happens.

That is the way i have felt all along. I didn't expect the Hawks to put up much of a fight in this series because they just aren't very good and the Celtics won 66 games.

We lost to friggin Miami.

I continue to be amazed that Billy Knight is employed. If either of these guys are back next year, I'm not renewing my season tix.

No I think it's time for both to go. We've made some really bad player decisions. Alone, they aren't fire-able offenses. Together and in the sequence of them happening, BK has to be fired. Woodson is just not a good coach and any GM who comes on board deserves to have a clean slate at the HC position. It's time to allow for a new vision for this team.

How about this scenario... we've got a GM and coach tandem that, despite their blatantly apparent flaws and missteps, inherited a moribund franchise and established a solid foundation for future success, as evidenced by at least one playoff victory against the top (record-wise) NBA team. Traits that some other teams, now lower on the totem pole than the Hawks, might find desirable.

This would be the best time to release them to the market, where the ownership group can say, "Thank you, Billy and Woody, bon voyage, and best wishes for continued success in your future endeavors," while making it clear that they want to bring somebody in who can get this team to "the next level." No need to wait for BK to screw up in the offseason and the team to play below .500 again next season before cutting them loose. Let 'em go while their value is as high as it's gonna get.

But if they do go, I hope there's a shortlist of decent candidates for both positions (no "dual roles," please) that the owners are prepared to pursue immediately. Also, no "amateur night" coaching candidates this time around, either.
