market size doesnt matter, the amount of people who watch the game is all that matters. why is this so hard to grasp??

How do you think they estimate the amount of people who might watch?

Market size.

Yea, against Detroit. So now we get to watch some nationally televised games, at the price of losing by 20.

Blame Toronto? Go ahead, I don't think any one in Toronto has sympathy for orlando or any mid-market US team. If Toronto was facing New York, Chicago, LA, Boston, or even Detroit they would be on national team.

Lets go Raptors... disney sucks!

Their [Toronto/Orlando] Game 1 was the matinee presentation on national cable TV Sunday and drew the smallest audience of the first six games at 1,730,000.

So it doesnt matter that 75% of the people tune out after the first quarter when the "big market teams" are up by 20 pts?

im sure the early start had something to do with it. Hard to expect west coast viewers to get up and watch a game at 8:30am on a Saturday.

It was Sunday so we missed out on the church goers.

That's also why Tuesday's Game 2 was an actual sellout.

It's because they're playing against the worst team in the playoffs.
