It's not that I hate Eddie House, but i think that we need someone who can get in the lane. His handle is very suspect and I dont think I've ever seen him take a shot within 15 feet of the basket. He's not too bad defensively but I don't think he's capable of guarding a 2, which I believe is his natural postition.

Cassell will be back, and House will be too. That's mainly why I don't think we'll have the money to replace to grab West..but we'll probuly be filled at those positions anyways.
a guy that can consistently cover the Ricky Davis's though would be nice to find since Tony seems to no longer be able to this year at least. Hopefully we'll get the good Tony at the right time however.
To be fair to Tony (and I'm no big fan of his) he's still getting his confidence back on his repaired knee.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Ainge doesn't have to get rid of House or (Tony) Allen because both are free agents after the playoffs. If Cassell returns and accepts his back up role and is fine with playing for less in salary. Then I can see Ainge resigning him to a one-year contract. Ditto for House. But, I can see Tony being replaced given his injury history. Preferably, I hope that player isn't Delonte West. He's another player who has a penchant for injuries and isn't a true point guard. If you've Rondo and Cassell and your combo guard in House. Why bring West back when he was traded in part once Ainge and Rivers truly realized that Rondo could be the regular starter. Besides, Cleveland likes West and should retain him if they don't pursue someone like Baron Davis who can opt out for free agency this summer.
I've a feeling that Ainge may only try to tweak the roster preferring to have as close to the same roster intact for next season. Players who are question marks include Pruitt, Davis, Powe, (Tony) Allen, House, Cassell, Brown and Pollard. You could either trade one or two of these players or simply not resign the ones heading to free agency. What I know is Cassell desires to come back and play for the team next season. What I see is Powe emerging into a fine back up to Garnett. House brings instant offense off the bench and made good on what he was advertised as being prior to coming to Boston. That is, a perimeter shooting who's a volume shooter who's capable of scoring in bunches. I would imagine that Ainge can find an alternative and likely upgrade to the combined Brown and Pollard at center. Which leaves a decision on the immediate futures of Davis and Pruitt. I prefer retaining Powe ahead of Davis. Powe plays taller than his 6'7'' height with his long arms and excellent hands and awareness for where the ball is. Whereas, Davis too is undersized (both he and Powe are probably under 6'8'' with Davis perhaps slightly taller of the two if given an inch) for a power forward, but he's a skilled forward capable of doing things (like play making ability) that you might not get from Powe. However, his weight is a concern. Not to mention, his ball handing and lack of a go-to shot or shots in his offensive repertoire. What he does to improve his weight and conditioning during the off season will be pivotal this summer in changing some opinions of him. So, I'll side with keeping Powe and see whether or not there's interest from other teams in Davis. Pruitt should be kept too for insurance for Cassell. Cassell likely won't play a full season at age thirty-nine.
I was of the opinion that Tony could've or would've been traded last season before the deadline had he not gone down to a serious leg injury. It'll be tough to replace him being the team's best man-to-man defender. But, Ainge should wait and see who becomes available before finally deciding on Tony's future here. And too, Tony and agent could desire to test the free agent market. However, he and agent would be wise to remain in Boston for at least one more season and show the league a 100% healthy version of himself.
