Boston didn't forget about JJ, but they won't pay any attention to Smith when he is on the perimeter. They will let him shoot open 20 footers all day.

I'm not talking about Smith's stupid jumpers. He was driving strong to the hole and trying to make a play. I'm not going to give him a pass on going 3-13, he needs to try and finish better around the bucket (easier said than done with KG). But at least he is forcing the issue and trying to make a play. Everyone else is just looking to other guys to score.

Like I said, I can't blame JJ because he is getting hounded by an incredible defense, and when Bibby can't make a damn shot he is an easy cover when you have that kind of D.

Its almost as if we should put another shooter out there to spread the court. But Salim went 0-2 in game one. he obviously can never hit a shot EVER.

A guy who shot 36% on the season isn't my idea of a shooter.

If we are going to use a "shooter" it should be J-Rich.

If it wasn't for a good march you would have a guy shooting 40% for the season starting at the 2 guard. Guess he isn't a shooter. And he gets 20 shots per game!

Playing time = IMPORTANT FOR SHOOTERS.

Seriously, if you were a coach, would you set the defense to play off of Salim?

He also gets the best perimeter defender on the other team as well as constant doubles because the other players, including Salim, can't make open shots.

JJ is a career 37.7% shooter from 3. He is a proven shooter.

I am hoping the Hawks coach next season has to make that decision because i sure don't want Salim here.

Sure you want to trade Horford?
Watch that line
MIN FGM-A 3PM-A FTM-A OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF PTS

Horford 35 7-14 0-0 3-4 2 12 14 6 1 0 1 3 17
and nowhere you can see the emotion and leadership. He is the tru leader of that team!

Return to Atlanta Hawks
