who will be mvp this year and what about nuggets next year

Post#1 » by stefano2006 » Thu Apr 24, 2008 9:02 pm

Hey,
my thread was block before, but at least it works the way i wanted, so it works the way i wanted to show the person who take care of the tread that lakers fan take pleasure to come to our forum :)
...

Anyway I stop on that, but the person who reply with the word "IGNORANCE" and putting the stat of kobe is either a 6 years old mentality or a too big Kobe fan....a (Please Use More Appropriate Word)....anyway

I think the MVP should definitely goes to Chris Paul for what he did with the Hornets, it is amazing how he brought that team at the 2nd west place and it s great for the people of New Orleans, it give them hope after what happenend there, go job CP3.

Nuggets next year any idea.

I think we should have go for a trade this year, i would have take Mike Miller, is obviously fed up there and I will have give something in exchange, maybe Camby, it s a pity is shy in the playoff.
I would have said Jkidd for Camby but too many stars and finally it s not that kidd really help the Mavs.

Also I really want to see the actual Nuggets Team with another Coach to see what it can give, I have a feeling that even if the team have no coach they will have been almost equal anyway, they have the talent.

Would you rather play the Lakers or the Hornets in the 1st Round?

So you want to give C.P the MVP because he led a team to 2nd place in the W/C , and he gave hope to the city of N.O .

Honestly the first reason might work since he has led the league in certain cat. and not in others , but I dont think that giving the city of N.O hope would be sufficient enough for the league to hand out MVP throphies to any players .

Sort of like they give the MVP thropies to lets say ...........Kobe .

I mean he led the Lakers to 1st place in the W/C , and we did go through the California Wild Fires .

LOL.....heheheh

you got me on this one, i agree it s a cool answer from a Lakers fan, it s good to see you are not all aggressive guys....

In a point of view the Lakers finish 1st but at what, 1-2 game so basically even, if they did so there is few reason:
1: the last game NO-Dallas was done before, obviously it was better for NO to get Dallas again, they might have lost against Denver.
For the Lakers to get Denver was the best shot.
You see it has nothing with a team strengh, NO can beat 4 time in a row the 4th seed doesn t mean she can beat easily the 7th seed, each team system defense goes better for the opponent system offense, in that case for a Kobe, Iverson Melo it was the best shot, unfortunately you got Gasol!!!!this is were we fell down.... :(
Last year we went out against the champs, this year maybe we fell down cause of you.

I am also convinced that the Nba to bring money there they will push to get a Lakers-Celtics final, which unfortunately might not be interesting because everybody is quit expecting it.

MVP to CP3 why:

1.Younger than Kobe (fast improvement)
2.Size do matter
3.lots of points, lots of assists
4.DOESN T HAVE A GASOL WITH HIM!!!!

Finally Kobe is an incredible player, like Lebron, like AI, like KG....but if you did not get shaq back then, do you think the Lakers got the 3P's, do you think Kobe would have been that famous or it would have been like Iverson, like KG....since shaq left what happened, nothing, it s true, please don t get admit and fully admit.

Finally congrats, it was a real SWEEP against us...you ll get the Jazz that you ll probably pass 4-2 and after that the Spurs...

So CP3 MVP,,,if Kobe gets it, also give it to Gasol because before Gasol the Lakers where far to get the first seed!!!

I agree, but you can t compare, c-mon west, wells and chandler are not GASOL type all star please...

Then we can also say, derek fisher is an ex world champ PG,Radmanovic is an ex european MVP...

what I mean before the new orleans were good chandler and all were quasi-free on the market, no spot on them not franchise player, Gasol was a franchise to memphis with Miller.

So Kobe loses in the past because he doesn't have the support (ie teammates that can knock down open looks) - this year he does and it counts against him.

Will all due respect to CP - he's a hell of a player, and I believe he will win it at some point - Kobe led his team to the top of the West in an unprecedented year w/o having Bynum for most of the second half and Gasol being hobbled as well. I don't see how you give it to anyone else.

1998-99 - Karl Malone, Utah
1997-98 - Michael Jordan, Chicago
1996-97 - Karl Malone, Utah
1995-96 - Michael Jordan, Chicago
1994-95 - David Robinson, San Antonio
1993-94 - Hakeem Olajuwon, Houston
1992-93 - Charles Barkley, Phoenix
1991-92 - Michael Jordan, Chicago
1990-91 - Michael Jordan, Chicago
1989-90 - Magic Johnson, Los Angeles Lakers

Numbers talk? Who has far and away better numbers than Kobe? Nobody. His numbers are as good as anyones, except Lebrons. And Lebron can't be it because his team wasn't very good. It has to be Kobe, Paul, or Garnett. Personally, I'd go with Kobe since his team won the games it needed to (including a win against the Hornets) in order to get the top seed in the West. At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if Paul or Garnett got it.

Thank you for the kind words Mang.

But seriously you are digging deeeeeep with this comment .

Kobe is a SuperStar , with or without Shaq .
He was the force behind the 3peat , with the help of Shaq and the supporting cast .
If you want to compare Kobe to lets say AI or Lebron or even MJ its unfair ........... You know why cause ....... There is only one AI or MJ or LBJ ........... Just like there is one Kobe .

You give props to the Lakers success to Pau , yet who was carrying the Lakers when Bynum went down , or Ariza , or Pau .

Kobe is amazing wheather or not you like to admit it .
He is KOBE .......
Honestly as I reed in other boards specially the W/C teams , noone wants to play the Lakers , cause they are in SYNC and they are playing as a team , they have the coaching staff to control this team and its tempo , and they have a SuperStar that has matured and has final come to trust his teammates ...........
We have shooters , we have Vet leaderships in two Key players with playoff and finals appearences , which is Kobe and Fish .
We have a HOF coach .

I am also convinced that the Nba to bring money there they will push to get a Lakers-Celtics final, which unfortunately might not be interesting because everybody is quit expecting it.

As far as this comment ........... Come on now .
I mean are you kidding me , what else are you going to come up with next .
Your seriously digging deep with this one .
The Cs are 2-2 RIGHT ?
So what happens if the Cs loose , what happens if the Lakers loose against the Jazz.

You actually think that the league is SETTING UP A LAKERS -CS match up for Ratings .
Do you realize how much money revolves around each team when it comes to Gambling , ticket sales , media ad campaigns , endorsements etc .
So the league has the final say so on who plays who .
WOW , so now the success of this team as well as Cs is .......A SET UP ?
Okay if you say so .

Hoenstly it would be a lot easier if you can just admit that the Lakers are palying solid B-Ball and the main reason is because of the coaching , Kobe , Pau , and the bench of the Lakers ...........
And above all Chemistry which I think the Nuggets were missing , cause we all know you guys have the Talent and the coaching .

Best of luck next year.

I agree Tony M that Kobe is really good, and i always said it, but you care for Lakers, you love Kobe so, of course you ll be against my words...it s normal and i accept it...I m just not saying your type of words like "i'm digging deep or bs like that", but anyway.

When you say money around these games, I think you can 't imagine a final Lakers-Celtics what it can generate, think about it, it s touching young generation middle generation and old generation, basically the whole country plus the rest of the world, might be the most seen playoff final since Jordan was there in Final or Magic and Bird....but anyway

Phil Jackson being a great coach of course, with so many title in few years, but please admit that coaching the Bulls(MJ) and the Lakers (Kobe-SHAQ)...it s already a nice counterpart....

Put Phil with the Bobcat and 3 year to win a championship....hummm

Rivers is not that good that he reverse the east because of his coaching, no he got Allen and KG this year.

About Denver i don t know what to say....Karl is a mor** i agree, Phil Jackson getting denver and winning a title...maybe

to answer ouyr final words, I have nothing against Kobe, is an amazing player, nice to watch but i will have probably like the guy much better if he was not trying to compare himself to MJ, or imitating MJ's move and so on....Lakers are damn strong this year, but saying that Kobe is an MVP by far, no, otherwise last year lebron was suppose to take it, cause he brought Cleveland to the final with what Gooden!!!

Kobe will get it for many reason this year:

His age, i agree that he has to get it once, he ll make 30
Paul and Lebron have time....

Nba look like has change in many point....MJ got it in 1987 though was young....

In my mind an MVP is for what the guy do alone and where he bring the team...here Kobe help but the team more than help...i know you don t agree...but please look at Pau stats since he is a Lakers...you ll get it

Return to Denver Nuggets
