This would all be well and good if this was the first time. This is a trend, but some people will always find an excuse.
OT - do any of you feel sorry for McGrady?

Math isn't your strong subject, is it?
My point, smartass, was that I didn't think it was the Detroit series where that happened. Upon further investigation, I learned that my recollection was incorrect.

Best of 7, if you go up 3-1 in a series in a best of 5 it'd be over.
McGrady was what? 21 years old at the time? He was a cocky kid, criticize him if you want but you're grasping at straws.
I remembered, incorrectly, that he said that during the Bucks series. It was indeed the Pistons series, though.
Call it grasping at straws if you want, but he was an idiot to say it and it's always satisfying to see someone cocky put in their place.
I'm not calling McGrady a bad human being who deserves bad things to happen to him. I'm saying that he is -- consistently -- awfully cocky for someone who's never done anything.

Lets see...
Do I feel bad for homeless people who have had their identity stolen? Yes.
Do I feel bad for the little kids in Africa who most likely will starve and die before they even turn 20? Yes
Do I feel bad for people who have severe mental disabilities? Yes
Do I feel bad for an as*hole NBA player/drug addict who is making millions of dollars a year living in a enormous house who simply can not make it past the first round of the NBA playoffs? Hell no!

That was against Detroit (he was up 3-1). How are you going to criticize him over that when they've gone on to 5 ECF starting from that year?
His team was in last place. No one thought he'd win even 1 game let alone push the game to 7,
I thought it was against Baron and NO?
I remember the Detroit one too, but I thought he also did it against NO too.
Wikipedia says otherwise, but I specifically remember him saying it up 2-0 against Baron and the Hornets (when they were in the east). Weird. Can any Magic fans confirm this for me?

The only time he said that was against Detroit. The year the Magic faced the Hornets they lost to them 3-1.
