Please replace Luther Head with Gerald Greene

Post#1 » by superemxguy » Thu Apr 24, 2008 7:12 pm

I cannot stand watching Luther Head play anymore.

When the time for him to score, he misses.
When he should not turn the ball over he did.
When misses point blank layups.

I rather have Gerald Greene at least he won't miss easy layups.

We could sure use Bonzi Wells in this series too. At least Wells can rebound.

Wasn't it just a year or two ago when everyone harped on how clutch Luther was and we couldn't trade him because he was always hitting big shots (which always made me laugh)?

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

Maybe after Gerald signs with the Wizards and then gets traded back to the Rockets so that when he comes back he'll have a brain.

luther gets so much undeserved hate on this message board. gerald green? gimme a break. and you wanna talk about missin layups? look at bonzi. missing layups and free throws are his specialty. luther barely plays anyways you cant blame him for anything. yes, he is inconsistent and in the playoffs he just sucks but that doesnt mean we should trade him bc his 10 minutes a game (its probably even less than that) havent resulted in anything in the last 2 games.

I would like to have Green, but not at the cost of replacing Luther.

From what little I've seen of Greene, I think he's not good enough to be in anyone's rotation. Who knows, maybe he'll eventually prove he is. But he hasn't done so yet - in spite of having some opportunity.

True, Head has been sub-par in the playoffs. And who knows if that will continue. But he's at least getting into these game because someone (an expert at evaluating NBA talent, no less) believes he can make a positive contribution.

Hasn't worked out in the playoffs for him for the most part, but someone has hope that it will and/or should at some point.

Despite being cheap, Greene does not even stick on any roster much less get into a playoff game - and only fans cry out with such hope that he'd produce.

Bottom line: I think you should trust that if Greene had convinced any NBA expert he might produce, he'd at least stick with some team. He's hasn't (so far).

I don't really know whether Green is the answer, but Head has been a HUGE disappointment in the last two playoffs.

I don't know what it was, but Bonzi never played the same enthusiasm when he was in Houston.

I completely agree with this.

I agree with you Luther Head stinking, he has become the joke of the team, but we can't put in Green who hasnt played at all with the rockets...not only that, but Luther earned his minutes for the past 2 years

I really don't see how anybody who has watched the playoffs the last 2 yeaars can honestly stick up for Luther. He has been terrible in every game he has played in. He still hasn't had even one good playoff game in 9 attempts. Not one.

Luther Head is garabage , he is almost a libailty on defense like Novak.
Bigger players post him up and he can't keep up with smaller quicker players.
He is not even shooting so great this year and he also dribbles way too much this year.
Once again this year he does nothing to help us because he is too small to matchup with anybody.
Enough with the small as guards , draft Brandon Rush or any other big athletic guard that can shoot is better than Head.
