I voted no.
I want to see Stern hand the championship trophy to the Sonics in a few years.

Even if the ideal scenario plays out -- Bennett settles the lawsuit tomorrow by selling back to Schultz, who then signs a binding agreement to keep the team at Key Arena for another 41 years -- I don't know if my enthusiasm for the NBA will ever be what it used to be. Not as long as David Stern is there. Not as long as the specter of the league granting an expansion franchise to Bennett looms.
Although I voted yes, I'm of a similar mindset. And I would think many people here at the same way.
But most sports fans in Seattle are of a more casual variety. If there's a franchise in Seattle, and it's winning, people will probably pay to go see it.

It's like you have a great wife for 41 years and one day she pulls off the mask and it's David Stern.

I didn't vote. If Shultz's lawsuit fails utterly and we lose this team I'll lobby whomever I can to get Stern fired and then completely ignore the sport until he's removed or retired. Then, when he's gone I'll have an opinion again.

Unfortunately this is true. If we were having this problem 11 or 12 years ago, we wouldn't have even gotten to this point because everyone loves winning team. I hate Seatteites...yuppie SOB's.
I just realized how ridiculous that sounds...the Key was rebuilt in 1995. Here I was, talking about possibly being in this situation 11 or 12 years ago and how it might have panned out differently. At that point the Key would have only been one or two years old!
IMO there is nothing wrong with the Key!!!
