The celtics need a C who is a solid weakside shot blocker and can hit a mid range jump shot. Which is unlikely to be around when they pick.

The other need would be a wing. Pref a SG. Which would prob be the BPA at #30 anyways. So Unless a bigman falls to 30. I would expect them to grab a wing player. I dont see Ray Allen in boston for more than another year.

True, But they can work out a deal and trade a players rights after the selection is made.

Yes they can, assuming the deal make sense. The deal that makes the most sense to me is trying to package the player selected with #30 and some other goodies to get a 2009 first round pick.

Bill Walker screams the pick to me. He is big and fast enough to play the 2/3, can learn from Pierce, can stroke it from outside (a must for any Celtic wing) and you have to think he will be the most talented player there and the one with the most upside.

Two guys who would be ideal joe alexander or bill walker in the first round. Either could be a star one has a lack of experience being alexander the other has had some injuries in walker. I reallylike joe alexander butheis willgoneprobably. In the second round with the last pick I like david padgett like walker injuries set him back but even more than walker.
