I'm unconvinced about baby. i think he has talent, but his 2 inch vertical and bad conditioning habits is troubling.
Powe though has really really been impressive.
the kid is tough as nails.
on and off the court, for someone to go through what he did in his life, and come out with that much POSITIVE fire, is just astonishing. i hope hes a celtic for a long time.

This is what has been nagging at me about Big Baby. The fact that he supposedly dropped 30 lbs before the season and STILL looks like he needs to drop another 30...hell, he makes Scal look svelte!
However, Powe is a keeper, for sure.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

givr baby the same amount of time with the weights
big difference in my opinion.
by the end of his first year, perk lost a ton of weight and put on muscle. not what its like now, but a huge difference.
baby has actually gained at least 20 pounds since the season started.

It certainly looks that way! Baby needs to drop 30 and build up muscle.

I was thinking BBD has gained weight since the season started as well. We need to check tape from the first time he saw minutes till now.. He will end up out of the league if he doesn't reign his weight gain in.
I just CANNOT get over how this guys eat themselves out of the league. It's just incomprehensible to me. I mean hey I get hungry too but with things like supplements, sports oriented chefs, and a very demanding workout schedule - why can't they do it? What the heck are they eating?

The ironic thing is, the weight he's gained is supposedly all muscle. In a recent game (the last of the regular season, versus NJ IIRC) Tommy was talking to Cousy about Davis and how Glen had told him he'd actually gained about 30 lbs. since the beginning of the regular season. Cooz took it to mean he'd gained muscle (Mike was quiet throughout), which Tommy confirmed.
Still, the guy's always had plenty of strength. Adding more weight will only hurt him long-term...
