OT: New to the Board

Post#1 » by dolvs84 » Fri Apr 25, 2008 7:27 pm

Hey everybody,

I have been reading this board for a while and finally decided to get an account and start posting. Growing up in Milwaukee, I have been a Bucks fan most of my life. Despite their recent struggles I still hope for the best and am pleased with the recent hirings of Hammond and Skiles.

Andrew Bogut is by far my favorite current player on the Bucks, although my all-time favorite player remains Marty Conlon. I am not a huge supporter of Mo and Redd for many of the same reasons as other posters. I would like to see both of them moved in the offseason, but I imagine that won't be a realistic possibility. As far as the draft, I would love if the Bucks lucked out and got Rose. If not, I suppose I wouldn't mind Westbrook.

I agree that its a very good first post. Welcome. However Smauss is wrong for disagreeing with the Marty Conlon choice IMO. Marty was a classic and I was a huge fan of his as well. He also had one of the craziest FT shooting forms ever and he was a very entertaining player to watch.

I'm still trying to figure this out............ :o
I'm sorry bigkurty, but Marty Conlon will never be my favorite buck even though everyone agrees he should be.........

Didn't we trade Conlon and a pick to the Suns for Elliot"socks"Perry"? Conlon was a decent player. I was shocked we traded him.

Welcome! I too share your optimism for a brighter future! Of course this is not hard considering the rubbish past... I agree that Westbrook sounds good, but it depends on the other personnel moves-obviously a Mo for Haslem would make Westbrook a good choice. But yes, Rose would be a terribly unlucky pick for us to get!

Good call on Marty Conlon :)

Welcome to the board.

Speaking of Marty Conlon,I will never forget the time some friends and I where hanging out by the players parking lot at the BC after a Bucks game and we witnessed Marty Conlon picking up what we assumed to be two incredibly hot (Blondes) scantily clad groupies.

To give you an idea imagine going to a high class gentlememn's club and picking out the two hottest dancers in the entire place.

Thats the caliber of women I am talking about here.

I guess ol Marty took full advantage of being an NBA player if ya know what I mean.
