Jerry Stackhouse Wants to Fight Byron Scott

Post#1 » by magicfan4life05 » Fri Apr 25, 2008 11:25 pm

For all those Mavericks fans who have pined for some player in Dallas blue to, um, "step up" and take the fight straight at New Orleans ... we have your man. In a radio interview documented by writer Jeff Kaplan for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's blog (via HoopsHype), Jerry Stackhouse hands out some vicious words on Hornets coach Byron Scott.

"I don't think Byron Scott is the best coach or I don't think he's the best guy to deal with -- you know what I'm sayin? -- from some things that I've heard from other players and just some dealings that I had with him earlier in the season. I was about ready to kick his ass -- you know what I'm sayin? He was sitting on the sideline and we just got into a little conversation or something and he was going to tell me, you know, 'Talk to me when you get a ring.' I was like, I told that fool, 'If I played with Magic and Worthy and Kareem I'd have a ring, too. So, you know, he's a sucker in my book, but that's a whole other story."

is stack telling it like it is or sour grapes?

I hate Byron Scott too, but I hate Jerry Stackhouse even worse.

He beat up Jeff Hornacek. Jeff Hornacek, why not just go after Bavetta or something you pussy.

I'm pretty sure Byron Scott would own Stackhouse in a scuffle.

I don't care if it is Derrick Martin, that is just dirty. If Magic Johnson, Bill Russell, or Tim Duncan say that to you, then you bow and say "yessir" but Byron Scott really doesn't have too much that he has a ring because he was the go to guy. He was at best 5th best guy on his team.

I can see it being doing out of competitiveness, but it sounds just as stupid as Rockets fans saying that the Jazz have no rings to account for. Who cares?

I'm not a fan of Scott, I think he's an overrated coach..but Stackhouse is known as a bitch too..that trash talking about the championship is great..who cares if he was the 4th-5th option, he still won..it's great trash talking..

any trash talking is good..I don't care if one guy is A LOT better than you are, if you have ANYTHING to say about him, you say it..whether it is personal or not, you say it..when you're playing sports, it's all about getting inside your opponent's head..annoy him, make him angry..as long as you get him off his game..

Really? I still remember Jordan kicked his xxx when Stack ran his mouth about MJ had already passed his prime.
I have also heard that Kobe as a high school kid, beat Stackhouse (a NBA player at that time) in 1 on 1.

With that said, I think a little trash talk will just make the playoff more interesting. No harm no foul.

Stackhouse wants to fight everybody.
