Brown is desperate for a job, and he'd know how much Melo is important to the team. I'm sure they'd put the troubles behind them.

And also, someone who has actually won a ring to coach, not some guy who brags about his 10th overall wins (despite no championship wins).

I like Avery, but jeez, when the pressure is up in the playoffs, the senior and more experience coaches get to his head.

Do you not know what Larry Browns history is? Do you really think New York is the only place he has ever had problems in. Brown has a perfectly laid out MO, he comes in, fights with the stars and young players while he tanks tanks the first season, then he has the front office trade all there young talent for veterans and players who he can control so that he has a solid team that he can get into the playoffs for a couple of years, and then he is gone as his veterans fall apart and they all leave the franchise in tatters.

The only place he did not pull that **** off was in Detroit where he took over a team that was already contenders in the east and full of veterans who had already been coached and taught by others. But then even those veterans figured out that Brown was an ass and they wanted nothing to do with him the last year he was there.

The reason that things went so bad in New York, went that way because Isiah told him to **** himself as he was not trading the young players, and the stars. It had little to do with anything else, and that team had been a decent team up until Brown took over.

As for Brown making any team a contender, name one team outside of Detroit (which was already considered a contender before he got there) where he made them true contenders? The closest he ever got was with the 76ers and everybody knew they had no chance against half of the playoff teams from the west.

So no I have no want or need to see Larry Brown come into Denver get them to the 2nd round, trade all the young talent including Melo, and then watch the team struggle to get back to this point for the following 10 years. Call me crazy but the ego maniac can go elsewhere and **** up their future, for the next decade. besides that he has already screwed the franchise up once, and if not for Moe and some of the others of the 80s we would still be **** up.

The sixers went 56-26 that year. This included a 16-12 recored against the West, including a 1-1 record against the Spurs, a 1-1 record against the Mavs, a 1-1 record against the Nuggets, a 1-1 record against the Lakers, and a 1-1 record against the Suns. They were also the only team that beat the Lakers in the playoffs that year.

Just for the record.

MJ just fired his coach in Charlotte.

Coincidence? :dontknow:

That is the logical spot for him to land. One last reclamation project.

Anybody else up for a J Rich and Okafer trade, I am sure we could get them for AI and either Kmart or Camby pretty damn soon.
