TP appreciation thread..

Post#1 » by HarlemHeat37 » Sat Apr 26, 2008 5:44 am

Timmy always gets his, and Manu has been getting the due all year..but TP deserves some major love..

doesn't it seem like it was just yesterday, when Parker was a liability in the playoffs?..on both sides of the ball, he would just disappear in the playoffs, and everyone would worry if he was just a regular season player..I love how he's emerged as a legit playoff performer in these last 2 years, and I love how he's improved the mental aspect of his game..he's only 25 and he has time to CONTINUE improving, as crazy as that sounds..

I recall the '03 Finals, when Pop had more trust in Speedy Freakin Claxton in crunch time...how times have changed.

AJ:"I'm Western Conference," he said. "I'm Popovich. I'm for him, for Texas and for the Spurs."

Yeah there's no more doubt about TP in the playoffs, he's proven he's a big time player now. In the playoffs he may even be a top 3 PG in the playoffs.

I may need another avatar. I'm thinking something with TP and hearts... a little ghey, yes, but if he gets us a b2b, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

What worries me is how he's gonna be when Tim Duncan retires. I heard Pop said he'll retire when Tim retires. Parker is very good IMO, but he's not yet a guy that you could build a franchise around like Paul.

I try not to worry about that. Just enjoy the incredible run we're on now.

At the rate TD is playing, he might be effective through TP's current contract!
