Yeah, from being at the game in the 4th quarter no one wanted to make noise anymore because they kept botching play after play.
Two things:
1) The refs handed the Lakers the game, I don't care who's attitude stunk, or who was shooting like crap.
2) The Nuggets showed no pride and no fight trying to at least close the score gap to something respectable or even winnable.
3) The crowd wasn't dead, they were just sick and ready to hurl after each play.
4) Melo needs to stop trying to be Superman and win every game with one shot.
5) Jack Nicholson looked like he was having more fun out there.

While I agree to an extent on reason number. The only reason why it seems like the refs handed the Lakers nothing but calls, was because the Nuggets refused to draw contact, and Lakers rotated fast enough and put their hands up in order for it to be a legal play. Nuggets, were just so Lazy on defense that probably the Refs were disgusted. Because the past two games the Nuggets shot more freethrows then the Lakers, dont believe me? Look it up?????
And I'm a lakers fan, but to be honest I was truly disgusted by the Nuggets effort, I mean they gave up, I have great respect for the Nuggets, they have such a high powered offense, but with AI flopping everywhere, and all nuggets not contesting shots was just horrid.
With the best scorer in the NBA by our side, anything can happen.

Well, that's why I have number 2. We can't change the refs no matter how (Please Use More Appropriate Word) they are from game to game, but any team can fight through it and come up with a decent score.
You guys might want to consider this if you end up meeting the Spurs. The Spurs will get more calls than the Lakers.

Wow that was a horrendous performance tonight. To say im disappointed is an understatement. This team should be ashamed of themselves especially Carmelo. That was the worst performace i ever seen from him. He did everything wrong. He couldn't buy a layup and held the ball way too long. He also forced way too many early shots. And his defense was horrible too. My dead grandma could defend better than him! At least he admitted he stunk bad tonight. How Karl kept him in the fourth quarter over Iverson is astounding to me. Iverson didn't play well either but he still wasn't shooting or playing nearly as selfish as Carmelo was. George karl must be fired this is inexcusable how we imploded tonight. We need a defensive minded coach to coach this team until we get that we aren't going anywhere!
Oh yeah Craig Sager said it all when he mentioned how Camby our center isn't an offensive threat. Camby has to go too its incredible how bad offensively he is. We need a Center who can actually score not just block shots. All good teams have a center that can score. Sorry Camby but your time is up!

That's why we were all scared to play them in the first round. I just don't see Celtics who lost to ATL tonight beating the lakers in 7.
The Celtics will murder us in 5 or 6. Maybe if Bynum is back and at 90-100% we might stand a chance but otherwise we don't matchup with them well at all.
