How do these players compare?

Who would you rather have? In what type of situations?

Just about the only thing Rashard does better is score... and he costs twice as much....

Lewis is a better player easily. Lewis is quickly becoming severely underrated.

They are hard to compare because they have different strengths and weaknesses.

It really depends on how your team is constructed. But I believe the majority of teams in the league could use a scorer and shooter of rashards caliber than lamar odom.

Odom could not even handle being a #2 option. With Bynum back he will be a #4 option. Shard is the better player, Odom is a role player.

You pretty much have to be a role player with Kobe, Gasol, and Bynum. I am pretty sure that Rashard is a role player too.

Nothing against Rashard because I like his game but not being able to be the #2 option shouldn't be in this discussion.

Lamar Odom, with little hesitation - I like his significant versatility a lot

Rashard's a better shooter...

Lamar rebounds a lot better, is a better passer, is more efficient from the field

Shard will give you 4 more points on lesser percentages

I take Rashard, he's FAR more consistent and overall a better player.

And Shard isnt the 3rd option on the Magic?

Homerism FTW.

All teams in the league, except for those with a dire need for shooting, would choose Odom over Lewis.
And then take contracts into account ( @ lewis' contract) and its no contest.

I bet 90% of the league would take rashard over odom ignoring contracts. What team doesn't need shooting? Shooting is much more valuable. It spreads the floor and everything. Especially one of the best shooters in the league. Most teams don't need a PF whos best attribute is his passing. He is a decent rebounder and a average defender and a poor shot blocker. Even the lakers would rather take Lewis.

if lamar is just a "decent rebounder" then dwight howard is just a "slightly above average" rebounder.
