At least the Falcons are building the lines with Sam Baker (USC), although he'll probably switch to RT. Now hopefully they'll get a DT next (shoulda took Dorsey, though)

I feel they could have had Baker or an OT around the same caliber in the 2nd round.

Yeah, they aren't playing this draft like a team that just blew everything up. They seem to be picking a little too much.
I really wanted Dorsey. I saw some of Ryan, he probably will be the best pro-qb out of all those guys but I don't think he'll be better than Dorsey. We need to really get some talent out of our 3rds.

take Matt Ryan at #3...
use TWO 2nd Rounders to trade UP and get an O-lineman that wouldv'e been there anyways...
Take an ILB with our only 2nd Rounder..
.. leave numerous playmaking WR's on the board to get drafted by other teams in the 2nd Round, when we could've snagged 1 or 2..
I'm so frustrated, how do you draft a QB and turn around and refuse to grab a WR, something that's been holding us back for 10 years ! I mean.. atleast take a decent CB, remember we just traded D. Hall and boy boy from Arkansas can't cover a cement block.

I hate the pick!! not so much because who matt ryan is ( I only seen him play 2 time) but because ' WE HAVE NO O-LINE AND STILL HAVE NOT ADDRESS THAT" This guy is going to get killed! I thought the plan was to get strong up the middle? Dah same ol falcons! I'm starting to think the one consent.... King Arthur!

I'm not a big fan of the draft myself, but Brooking has been on the decline and Thomas Brown should be our new KR. He's much better than Jennings or Norwood.

Looks as if the Falcons think they can win right away.
That's the only justification I can come up with.

My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

I would have preferred Dorsey, a lot actually, but I understand the Ryan pick.
The rest of the draft was a little underwhelming. There are a lot of big bodies to put on the lines in the later rounds but we ended up drafting a bunch of special teamers.
I think that Baker pick will be more defining than the Ryan pick. They made a big move to get him, he has to be a legit LT to justify that and its asking a lot of a player to step into that spot right away.
