If Eddie Jordan gets fired I'd love to bring him in as an offensive assistant...

I agree. I'd take him as an assistant coach without question..

If we combined Mike Brown and Eddie Jordan
we'd come out with a pretty ggod coach. :)

Okay, this should be 5 and done. We better not choke the next game. I missed todays game almost entirely but just hearing that we won is enough. How hard was the flagrant on Lebron today, and were the wiz posing much during the game?

It wasn't that bad. Stevenson swung a closed fist that barely connected to Lebron's head. It was a borderline dirty play but on the replay the contact was minimal but it fired up Lebron.

Stevenson of course came out doing his "you can't see me" hand motions after every basket. He also tried mocking Lebron's Akron sign thing he does.

But he was pretty much the only one. Gilbert, Caron, Jamison, etc. all played straight ball.

Good game, guys. Delonte and Boobie stepped up big time.

Lots of debate on the Wiz board as to where the blame lies. But we all knew that rebounding and defending the 3 were key in this series and the Wiz just couldn't get the job done today.

I do feel bad for Gil. I know it's killing him inside that his body won't do what his mind wants, but dems da breaks.

Good luck Wednesday (and Go Bucks!).

that was a great game...delonte and boobie definitely came up big

some curious decisions by the wizards really impacted this game. 1) not going with the hack-a-ben strategy. ben may have had his best game as a cav today, but he cant make a free throw to save his life. if the wizards start fouling ben, mike brown probably has to take him out and go with that idiot varejao - that would have hurt the cavs a lot. 2) why go away from caron butler? he was killing it in the fourth quarter plus he was able to draw the fifth foul on lbj. they should have gone to him every time because lebron's defense would have been soft as hell in order to prevent the sixth foul.

and i think deshawn stevenson has definitely gotten caught up in the circus-like atmosphere that he created for this series. it seems like he is really hurting the wizards in effort to one-up lebron.

should be a good game on wednesday. hopefully the cavs remember how they played against the nets in a close out game last year when they were up 3-1 at home...and to do the opposite of that

Speaking of AV.... Remember when Anderson used to be our second or third best player? Yea those were great times. The guy would come in and instantly change the game. I'd be willing to scratch this year off the record if it weren't for the fact that his less than stellar play is his own doing. The injury was tough, but as we've seen many, many, many times before in the NFL and now twice this year... if you hold out, you get hurt.

The only reason I wouldnt want to trade him this offseason is because I think next season he will play even better than last year and the year before, and losing the potential that I know he has would hurt. HOWEVER, he made it pretty clear in the fall that he wants big time money, and I highly doubt at this point he has earned it from the Cavs. There might be a GM out there dumb enough to give it to him, however. So, if the right deal comes up I would be more than willing to say goodbye to Mr. Moneybags, rather than lose him for nothing.

I don't think the hold out/injury is the main problem with Andy (although I believe his ankle is still bothering him), I think the problem is this. He used to stay within his role and was outstanding at it. Now he's straying from his role because he thinks that he needs to score more to get a big contract. Someone needs to make him understand that winning championships will do more for his value than scoring a few more points. He has to look no further than the guy he's backing up to see a prime example of that.

Guys let's close this out now that B-town is having some issues with the Hawks. The longer Atlanta can take them the better for us. Also, I hope Joe Smith gets more time now that AV is choking the big one. Joe plays solid dee and I'd love to see LBJ in the low post doubleteam with zee and smith as his triagle options. That is as long as Washington does not trap the ball too much out front. Co Cavs and Hawks

Not here to argue, just reading through the posts...

Stevenson didnt swing a closed fist (imgs wont work, click to see)

but he did get a piece of Lebron, so the call was fair.

Also, Stevenson wasn't doing an Akron gesture, it was the ROC throw your diamonds up

and as far as the basketball discussion goes, we just CANT seem to beat you guys in close games. You guys killed us on the boards, and if we want any shot at game 5, we need to make the proper adjustments. If we lose, good luck in the next round....

That actually is the Akron symbol that LeBron has been doing since high school. At this point it might actually have two meanings, but LeBron started doing it to rep Akron.

The only person that thought that Stevenson swung a closed fist was the teammate that told LeBron. Sure I thought it was still a flagrant 1 since it was a shot to the head but frankly it should end there much like the one that happened earlier in the series.

It's the Diamond for Roc a fella, Jay Z has been doing it forever. If in fact Lebron does it for Akron, that's where it came from. As for Stevenson, he isnt doing it to mock Akron, its because Jay Z dissed him.

Only reason much is being made out of it, is because all the junk Shawnson and the Wiz have been talking. If that just happened between another player on another team, it may have not even been called a technical.

However, everyone knows Desteve did a little extra, so he gets called for the flagrant.

I agree with this....everyone knows about the so called "beef" annoying as it is, and I could see how it was perceived.

Trust me I know what it also stands for, Im just saying LeBron has been doing it since high school and has stated he is doing it for Akron. He isnt the only one from Akron to do the same symbol as well. Its sort of Akron's semi "gang symbol", only without the gang implications. I believe one of the Ohio State running backs did it after he scored a TD, either Pittman or Beanie (whichever one is from Akron). Like I said, by this point LeBron probably is holding it up for both Akron and Roc a fella, but who knows.

Id be willing to bet that Stevenson knows the reason why LeBron holds that up... although on second thought maybe he isnt that bright afterall.
