Phil Jackson is hoping and so am I that Bynum is available for the 3rd round if the Lakers make it past Utah. The 2nd round will be a lot tougher w/o Bynum but Ariza should come back at some point.
Phil has told the media if Bynum comes back he will play w/ the 2nd unit. Talk about a 6th man. Phil Jackson wants ti attack other teams w/ a 1-2 punch at center like Riley did w/ the Heat in 06 when Shaq was still Shaq.
This lineup sounds great... I hope Bynum would be as humble as Manu Ginobli if he were asked to be a 6th man for a while. He is still trying to get that 'I'll never have to work again' contract.
I'm all for a 1-2 punch at center and having the best bench in recent memory.

bringing bynum off the bench is THEE only option. but its a good option. the way ive seen it lately while watching opposing guards in the western conference playoffs, we have alot of launchers and floppers out there. standing there doing nothing, equates to a foul with parker, paul or deron williams crashing into you.
there will be games where our bigs, especially pau will get run into.
but throw bynum in there, and we still have a strong interior defense, but also 6 fouls to throw in there.

I like the starting lineup the way it is, Vlad spreads the floor and gives an outside threat, Pau inside, Kobe and Odom doing there things and fish given the veteran D leadership and shots.
Bynum off the bench is awesome because no one on our team throws the alley to him like farmar, i think they have great chemistry and should be on the floor together. It also would give the bench the same things the starting lineup has. Bynum inside, sasha out, walton and farmar doing what they do. Turiaf will struggle for minutes if Bynum is back but he will be used for energy and fouls. They will put him in to grab KG on those fadeaways when we are in the finals.

It's not like that at all. I think the people here are pretty slow. Gasol is a pf who is playing Center because Bynum is hurt. Gasol should and will be playing the pf but not til next year because Bynum is not going to be playing starters minutes and is coming off a serious injury. People need to stop comparing it to all these totally different situations like Zo and Shaq who are 2 centers and Manu who is a sg who plays 38 minutes and comes off the bench for no reason.
Hell if the Lakers are completely confident in Bynum's health next year Odom could easily be gone for an Artest and Bynum and Gasol will play there natural position of Center and PF. All these comparisons are a waste of time, wrong and kind of on the ignorant side.

Are you serious? My posts aren't like that at all, I don't even post alot anymore and people making fun of me for my posts is so last year. Seriously if your not joking your about as bad as somebody who thinks a star center should be backing up a pf at the center spot.
A comparison would be Shaq and Amare not Shaq and Zo.
