Would adding Alonzo nxt yrs be a nice move?

Post#1 » by lakeshow248 » Sun Apr 27, 2008 10:40 pm

I think he could add a lot behind Bynum, if he comes back healthy of course. He might be 38 by that time but he still has a great motor as his 1.7 blks per game would indicate in only like 15 min I think.....I thought he single handly won the title for Miami w/ his D late in games.....I also think his uber pro attitude would help Andrew a lot.....

I don't know if losing in Miami one year is what he would look for---a trip to LA for the LLE but a nice situation for both parties....

If he comes back healthy, and plays like he did before he got injured then sure why not. Of course only for the vet minimum.

I would take Zo over Mihm at this point.

However, the trick here is Mihm has a hot sister and if you add the X factor in there than Mihm becomes the favorite by .457% ....

Ahhh what am I saying, finals week is killing me!!!!

Why would we use a roster spot on him when we could use it on someone half his age that we will be able to keep around for longer?

Like Chris Mihm?

Point is, this team will need all the help it can get from its C spot next season, regardless of injury status to the starters.

Zo is a lot better than any rookie or any other C FA available for the vet min.

NO.

I hate guys that play for one team for most of their career then all of a sudden hop on the Lakers bandwagon.

Thats why I hate gary payton and Karl malone. These two should never be in the discussion of great Laker players.

I like Alonzo, he's a good defensive player and will match up with Garnett well.

If he's healthy and ready to play next year and wants to come here then I definitely sign him.

Without question. Zo is one of the best backup centers there is in the league when healthy. If he's healthy, and wants to come there is no reason not to sign him for a year. None.

I know Alonzo said some nice things about our team yesterday while he was in the studio but he shouldn't be offered a roster spot because of it.

he's old, he's hardly healthy and after all the injuries we've had I'd rather see us persue a younger guy that we could depend on.

Mihm will be back next season. He has been hurt most the last couple of seasons a heathy Mihm could make the Lakers front court even more imposing than it already is. After next season I think he'll be let go for financial reasons because the team may have to resign Kobe, Bynum, Odom, and the possible extension for Farmar.
GO LAKERS

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
