Redd 4 Josh Howard

Post#1 » by darbstar » Mon Apr 28, 2008 3:55 am

With Dallas on the brink, it looks like josh howard could well be on the trading block! Would u trade redd for Josh howard as the two main pieces in a deal??

Dallas tried signing Redd a few years back and he would fit well in a backcourt with playmaker jason kidd!

Howard would fill our need for a small forward!

thoughts??

He has done nothing in the playoffs, has not jelled well with kidd, recently was in trouble for drug use! plus Cuban was after redd a few years back!

i honestly think that anyone making anything of the weed quote is out of their mind.

dirk did nothing in the playoffs last year and he's still there, no one has jelled with kidd and they were after redd when he was still the hard working 2nd round pick just happy to be in the league

Redd for Howard, Stack, 2nd.

I'd love to send Gadz out in this trade too, but can't get it to work.

Redd for Howard/Stackhouse.

I think we can very safely predict that Cuban won't take a first-round exit without making some major moves. Dirk won't be traded and Kidd's expiring will have too much value to move. Plus, I'm not sure Cuban will want to trade Kidd and run the risk of acknowledging he may have made a mistake in trading for him in the first place. Howard could be the guy to leave and Redd would be a fine fit on that team.

It all comes down to what Hammond and Skiles think about Howard toking it up. If they think that's a minor issue then Hammond needs to get on the horn with Cuban the second the Mavs get bounced. Well maybe give Cuban a minute or two to get in a rage and then call him. :)
Nothing will not break me.

Nah, not the kind of guy we want or need and his comments the other day did him no favors even though they are probably true Redd is worth more

i do like howard alot but i dont know how much i like the fact that he tends to miss time each season... he seems to hurt his ankles alot which wont do us much good. i really think moves are going to happen but i dont know if this is the one to make.

personally i would look to move gadz, simmons, bell, mo and cv in needed. then deending on the moves we make we trade redd as a last option he is still one of the best scorers in the league and the change of point guards and a defensive coach could really help turn his game around... i think he should be the last of the tradeable that gets moved

Yes x 1,000 for me on a Redd for Howard deal. Throw in whatever other pieces that you want around it. Howard brings attributes that the Bucks are lacking and is definitely a Skiles/Hammond sort of guy.

Said differently, it is possible that the Bucks could only trade Redd for cap space, and I think that the Bucks would be more than happy to pay Howard $10M per year as a free agent, so why wouldn't they be willing to swap Redd for Howard?
