We know that Chris Paul has been playing much better than Williams this year. None of us are not saying that he isn't any good, or that he is second to anyone. Funny people think that we keep implying this.

But our point is that the race is much closer than the national media sells it. We don't want to solely make it a Deron vs. Paul debate, cause that is not the idea. The idea is that Chris Paul to the national media and apparently to some good number of players he is God, and during the time that this thread was created we had CP3 vs. Walt Frazier, or CP3 vs. Isaiah, or CP3 vs. Magic, or CP3 vs. John Stockton, threads and there was actually one that was CP3 vs. Michael Jordan thread.

The whole idea is to say, zimmer down people. Brandon Roy and Deron Williams aren't too far away from him. We brought up our points with Deron Williams, although people don't get the Sloan system.

The lineup argument is lame. Utah has almost an equally bad lineup, filled with second rounders or undrafted players. As a matter of fact Utah has the most second rounders/undrafted on any lineup right now on the NBA. And they have blossomed and developed with Williams as the general.

Again, I repeat, the idea is not to say that Deron is better than Paul. This year he has won. As far as we are concerned, Chris or Deron can get injured, and their careers may finish at that moment. Our plea is for some sanity and stop the mania of implying that CP3 = GOAT.

The media isn't saying he's the GOAT....

These threads are popping up, because frankly, his stats are closer to these all time greats than they are to Deron Williams.

And LOL at Brandon Roy.

Nice Strawman Argument.

1. The Michael Jordan thread was created by a bitter Paul hater like yourself.
2. The regular season Paul had can easily be compared to Isiah, Walt, and was much better than any regular season Stockton ever had (never a top 5 player in the league). As other posters have stated this is a player comparison board, when a player turns in a regular season that ranks with the all time greats, it will be discussed. Deal with it.
3. As No-KG-AI stated, at Roy's regular season being closer to Paul's than Paul is to Isiah's best regular season.
