Violet Palmer has it in for the C's

2 of the worst refs in the game called this one...Salvatore and Palmer. I knew that the game would be lost...to be honest, the C's did play like shite and the Hawks did have one of those abberation games where everything goes right.

But still...you could clearly hear the shot clock announcer say "FOUR" when Rondo goes up, and as soon as it gets swatted the buzzer goes off...umm, WTF?

Vioet Palmer was pretty bad and we got some horrible calls against us, but it was to be expected in Atlanta. Come on guys, we can't get all the calls all the time.

And Violet Palmer was hardly the reason we lost. The Hawks came out hot and pumped up and our offense, especially with Cassell, went down the toilet down the stretch.

ditto...it really pissed me off, because just earlier that day i was talking with someone about how excellently we use the shot clock and find the open man, and that we were better at it than any other team and that's why we will win a championship. 2 hours later, sam i am is playing more like "sam i ain't"...bricking every shot, not passing...man the offense looked so motionless, sluggish, and stagnant.

maybe it was partially the jitters that the young guys like rondo had, with it being his first playoff game away from home and everything.

anyways, back to the topic of refs. violet palmer sucks...i don't care if she was a 40 year old male, doesn't make a difference to me when the bad calls fly. i know her name cuz she's been around for a while. if dick bavetta was a bad ref, everyone would slam him for being a blind old man. but for the most part, he does a good job reffing the game, and as a result, doesn't deserve the same criticism as palmer does.

and "the kid that tommy hates" is in his first year, and due to my family hogging the tv and watching american idol i don't think i've ever seen the tip off of a game that he has reffed, and thus, i've never seen or heard his name at the beginnings of games like they usually say or show right before tip off.

Bennett Salvatore is another one of the worst refs in the NBA, and when I saw he *and* Violet were doing the game last night, I was afraid, very afraid.
