(Quick bio here - born in Hayward, graduated from San Jose State, Warriors fan since the days of Nate Thurmond, now live in Colorado)
First of all, George Karl should have been gone two or three seasons ago. No team in the NBA has underperformed more than the Nuggets the last couple of years. They have tons of talent and absolutely no heart, no chemistry. Get rid of George, make some trades for players who care. There's a lot of attractive trade bait on this team. Blow it up.
Second, both of my teams (Nugs and W's) suffer from the same problem: they're both ignoring what wins championships - a disciplined, efficient offense and a disciplined, suffocating defense. Both teams have committed to going in precisely the opposite direction.
Both the Nuggets and the Warriors need to decide if they want to be 1-2 in scoring or if they want the ring.

It also requires Tim Duncan usually. This is a problem for many teams.
you mean it usually requires a defensive minded low post presence***
Olajuwon,Shaq,Robinson,Duncan,Rasheed (because he actually wanted to win a ring that year, go figure)...
Even when Mike and Scottie were murdering the league the bulls primary focus was on defense, and Cartwright was more then adequate...even though at that point it didn't matter as Mike and Scottie had the perimeter locked down in the likes of which we will never be able to see again.
defense and high percentage shots. who needs em... shoot the 3.

like i said even then the pistons had rasheed, who, when he cares, which is rare, is a extremly good if not great low post defensive player... and that team also had ben wallace who was obviously playing out of his mind.
as well as having the good fortune to run in to the lakers with a hurt malone, and kobe literally freezing shaq out.
meh.

the Nuggets are not horrible. They are just the Warriors. Fast paced, lack of defense for 48 minutes, and very emotional.
One difference is the Nuggets actually have position players. Instead we got 1 pg, 1 sg, 2 sf, and 1 pf.
Camby is a Center. KMart is a PF. Melo is a SF. AI is a guard.

Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010
