Just ignore these Hawks fans and their excuses. The kid has a lot to learn and will have a long offseason to ponder it. This is all they have, so let them have it. If acting like a punk is what gets ATL fans pumped, then so be it. Maybe the whole team will follow suit and they will actually sell out a game next year. None of this will matter next week, but I'm sure they will still be oozing about what wonderful character Horford has. A 3 year old with down syndrome could have seen he was out of line, and if Hawks fans can't, that speaks volumes of their BBIQ.
What's really interesting is how many times I read " why can't you just admit we beat you and congratulate us?"
I wonder how many congrats we'll get when we beat them 2 more games, probably as many as we got the first 2 games.
Not one sell out the entire season, but we're the fair weather fans.

Look, the Celts were expected to sweep. It was supposed to be a complete walk, go read your own game thread. None of you expected anything less than a double digit win which explains all the self-doubt and insecurity that is manifesting itself in poorly written rants like yours.

Again, you guys watched the Patriots this season, you should know why you can't just assume you win and not bother to show up. You gotta respect your opponents, you didn't give us a chance to win the last game and we did.

C'mon. Very few of the Hawks fans haven't acknowledged that the Celtics are a better team. No one in their right mind is going to say that we have a decent shot to win the series. Its just annoying to see our players villified for doing the exact same things your players did and got lauded for.

I don't think the Horford thing was a big deal. The Hawks are huge underdogs. They were happy to be playing well and kicking the best team in the league's ass. And Horford is a young kid, who was just pumped and reacted without thinking about the repercussions.

And the Hawks fans have every right to be super excited because that game 3 had everything the Hawks fans can ever want. Awesome crowd (I didn't know the Hawks fans can get that loud and excited), amazing display of athleticism and talent by some of their young studs (which shows how bright their future is), and invaluable confidence booster in knowing that they can hang with the best. None of these will prevent the Celtics from winning the series (I hope in 5), but it will go a long way for the Hawks in the very near future, coming into next year.

With that said, I'm pretty sure, all that will not go unnoticed by KG, RA and PP. And they will come out and try to make a statement.

And if we're going to have a nice slap in the face to get our asses in gear, better that happen in the first round against a much less talented opponent than against the Cavs or the Pistons where that game could mean the end of the season.

What have Allen, KG and Pierce proved? They haven't won squat! Yeah they have been all-stars on bad teams big deal. I just find it funny that Pierce and KG talk trash galore the first 2 games and then when we do it we get chastised for it. Give me a break. Last time i checked JJ and Bibby have played in as many meaningful playoff games as Allen, KG and Pierce.

Who cares man? He played a good game, and if he talks **** oh well. You know you'd be amped if it were KG doing it to Horford or whomever on the Hawks. This whole "**** talking is rude" thing is BS. It's the playoffs, intensity is high and he was excited about draining a jumper. Big f'in deal in my opinion. If you make a nice play, you've got every right to talk ****. Hell, I do it when I play at the gym and I'm no where near being good. It's just part of the game and when you get pumped up on making a shot, block, etc it's exciting. Why not try and get in the other team's head? If it benefits you or your team, so be it. I have no problem with what Horford said.

I think it's hillarious if Paul actually bet him $10K they would sweep. I'd probably do the same thing if I were Al.

The C's have probalby the biggest mouths in the NBA. We start most of this **** so it really isn't surprising to see our opponents talk back.

Allen, KG, and Pierce have proven that they are legit stars and potential HOFers in the NBA. KG's teams made the playoffs 6 or 7 seasons in a row, Pierce went to the Eastern Conference Finals, and Ray was on a very good Seattle team a few years back, as well as some very good Bucks teams. Horford has played ONE season in the NBA and took a Hawks team with a ridiculous 37 win season into the playoffs. While he has all the makings of a legit star, fact is he's a rookie and hasn't proven anything yet.

do you not read? I've witnessed Paul Pierces act in Atlanta at a club in person. I'm starting to think you got a hard on for the man the way you on his jock holding him down .
