Trade Dirk for Chris Bosh ?

Post#1 » by Mr. Savage » Mon Apr 28, 2008 8:47 pm

There has been a thread on the raptors board that asks for the opinion about a potential Dirk for Bosh trade.

Most of the replies shoot down the idea, saying that Bosh is way younger and probably equally good as Dirk.

What is your take on that ?

No! So what if he is way younger tell him to get his team out of the 1st round of the playoffs than your little Raps fans can talk smack. You might want to also tell Raps fans he is way softer too.

How does that make the Mavs better ? I love Bosh but I dont think he is the answer especially if that means Dirk's not here either.

Ehhh.

I'd look to trade everyone else before thinking about Dirk, unless of course there's a steal, but that never happens with Cuban.

I'd do it. I love Dirk, but I'd have to do that deal.

I'm not exactly feeling this trade for Dallas. The first thing that comes to mind is the age difference, so that needs to be taken into account, but overall I'm happy with Dirk, and I feel he needs to be part of this team for the rest of his career.

I'd be okay with a trade where Bosh and Dirk are the primary pieces.
If the Mavs take the rebuild route (which should seriously be considered if they lose the next game), Dirk's value would help expedite the rebuild process.

Dirk's value has been dropping since he won the MVP and if this FO continues to think this team can ride Dirk to a championship, we will continually get disappointed about this time of every year for the next 5 years. In other words, we will be good enough to make the POs, but never be championship material. This is not a knock on Dirk, but our situation has to be considered (primarily our salary/contract structure and personnel/chemistry). If we still had Harris and some valuable trade pieces, I would have a different opinion. But we simply do not have the proper trade pieces to land a player that can lead us to a championship with Dirk as a sidekick. Kidd is obviously not the answer.

Bosh would be a nice start in a rebuilding effort.

I don't think its a good fit for both teams.

Which round did the Mavs go out in this year and last year?

I dont like it, but we need a change and I feel like Mark Cuban wont want to be "bad" for a couple yrs and rebuild so I would consider it. But I DOUBT toronto would even consider it
