Michael Jordan is not Nas because he is not the Goat. Maybe LL Cool J, too smooth and everyone either loves him or hates him but feels a way about him, but everyone respects him.

I'd say Kobe is more like Eminem, despite the difference in skin color. Came up in the game alongside a master (Dre) and set a niche for himself. Even Rakim has been quoted saying Em should be up there amongst the greats. Just like MJ is Kobe's mentor nowadays.

What??? You guys consider Jay Z and Nas as GOATS?

MJ(GOAT) is Tupac. Actually he's Bach or Elvis but since this is just about rappers...

Kobe is Snoop Dogg, Larry Bird is Eminem and LeBron is Jay Z.

Tupac is the greatest rap icon of all time, the Thug Angel. He's a very talented rapper who has the strongest presence on the mic, a poet who delivers so much raw emotion in his lyrics. He was a transcendent figure whose legacy grew even bigger in death. He's #2 on my list.

But Nas is the complete package. He might not have quite the presence on the mic, and he might not have bee quite as raw, but technically, he's much better than 2Pac. I mean no disrespect for 2Pac, because Nas is just so much better than everyone else lyrically. Combine that with his delivery, his word play, his metaphors, his vocabulary, his rhyme schemes, and you have the GOAT.

Michael Jordan=Notorious BIG, both are the GOAT of their respective craft and brought the game to new heights

Lebron James=Jay-Z, at the top of today's game, both are icons

Andre Miller=AZ, has been underrated for much of his career, despite always putting up solid numbers

Kevin Garnett=2pac, both have an extreme passion for what they do and let their emotion come out through their songs/play

Baron Davis=Kanye West, both have a unique style and play the game with a swagger, both have a little bit of an attitude

Vince Carter=50 Cent, both started with high expectations, Vince as another potential "next jordan", and 50 with the power of the dollar and then the commercial success of get rich or die trying, but both have become apathetic and don't give anymore effort

Monta Ellis=Lupe Fiasco, the new face in the game who has style and substance

Allen Iverson=Nas, both legends who started their careers out strong and had classics along the way, but you wish they could be doing a little bit better now

James Worthy=Big L, underrated legends who were both overshadowed by other stars of their time(Magic Johnson, Notorious BIG, 2pac)

Tracy McGrady=Fat Joe, neither have done anything worth mentioning in the past few years

Josh Howard=Snoop Dogg, both are open about their marijuana use

Dirk Nowitzki=Eminem, the white star who has proven he can play with the rest but has been disappointing as of late

Stephon Marbury=Lil Wayne, both were(or are) vastly overrated, and both are inevitably going to have hard falls.

Kwame Boy=Soulja Boy, came on the scene with alot of hype, but no substance, both will very well be out of a job in a few years

I like SmoothKing's list. Pretty creative.

I'd save AZ for one of the many "next Jordans" though, because he's mostly known as Nas' understudy. But then again, you have AI as Nas.

True, but AZ was never as highly heralded as a "next Jordan" prospect would be.

DWade's alright but this is a great post. One of the few times i actually did LOL when I read it. It's the last line that pulls everything together and kills it. Nice.
