King Roosk wrote:Hell no. Why do you always ask these dumb questions?

1. Yao will most likely NEVER be traded for Dirk while both are in their primes. Trades like that typically don't happen, and we're division rivals with Dallas.

2. Rockets fans hate Dirk. Even if the addition of Dirk were to bring us a championship, I still don't think I'd do it.

How is it dumb? Many Rockets fans and casual fans have been talking about either the Rockets need to trade Yao or T-mac. This question about trading Yao who has been injured the last two years for a guy that made the finals in Dirk is not out of the question even if some people may resent the idea.

Why would we trade Yao Ming for Dirk Nowitzki. That's the stupidest thing ever. I'm getting really e-angry right now. Yao Ming is not the problem. On the court, he brings it hard every night, he's our alpha dog on the court, but he's best suited as a secondary superstar, and what we need is a true alpha dog, and hopefully McGrady can attain that.

I believe the opposite. The Rockets play best when Yao assumes a leadership role on the court and the offense flows through him. As a result, we need the team to revolve around him and provide him with quality role players.

We started our winning streak like this. T-Mac was hurt and was playing so poorly that our team moved on. When he came back, he became a role player and the streak continued. Any points and production we got from T-Mac was supplemental to the team, rather than essential to the team.

The last thing we need is for Yao to go back in his shell. He has to be THE MAN if we are to make a deep run in next year's playoffs!

At least for the summer, right? Then they can re-ban him once the season starts.
