Offensive impotence

Post#1 » by BillessuR6 » Tue Apr 29, 2008 3:01 am

We are a terrible offensive team. How can a team like this go for 5-7 minute stretches without scoring from the field? That is one thing that is killing us. We get a lead but are then unable to sustain it because we just can not put the ball in the basket.

We had some issues on offense in the regular season but we used to compensate that with our defense. Now that is not possible since our defense is not as good as it was.

Pierce is the only guy who can create his own shot and that is our biggest problem...I guess the postseason really magnifies the teams weaknesses.

Of course, it does not help that our coach is incompetent!

Pierce, Allen, Garnett, and Rondo can score.

Posey and Perk can score situationally, but quite efficiently.

Everybody else is ice-cold scoring-wise.

You can go to KG in the post, but he didn't convert a few times in the 4th quarter tonight.

Hate to say it but our all of sudden jump shoot happy team starts with KG. And then Pierce. Pierce likes to try a few 3 pointers early in the game. If they fell, oh man, he would think they will fall for the whole game...NOT!
