To be honest I don't want him to. I thought the Amare suspension was bogus last year and decided a series. Win or lose, I don't want a Stern ruling to be any part of it.
Very noble of you evildallas. I agree, win or lose it should be on the players.
But Marvin and Kendrick Perkins might be suspended for stepping onto the courts during the altercation.

Will Zaza get suspended for head butting Garnett? Will Horford get suspended for clearly taunting the Celtics bench? No. Now, Pierce gets fined 25 thou for throwing up "potential gang signs". It's easy to freeze the image, but there was a lot more going on during that whole incident. Stern should just stop acting like a wuss and let that whole thing go. If he's going to suspend anyone he needs to suspend a lot more than KG.

Watch the whole incident and see KG's forearm shiver on Zaza. Rewatch games 1 and 2 and then re-evaluate Horford's taunting in comparison to KG and Pierce's taunting. If the league wants to fine all those involved, I got no problem with it. Don't look at just half the situation and don't be mad that our guys aren't willing to roll over for your stars' antics.
Mind you I don't get the Pierce fine either, but that's between the league and you guys. We aren't involved in that thing at all.

I was there. I saw him shove the ref. Were you in the building? I was sitting 8 rows behind the basket in row HH. How can you possibly compare Horf taunting Pierce to KG shoving a ref?? KG should have been ejected at that point. Especially considering that he started the altercation with Zaza by throwing an elbow in his chest. Hell, Rondo should have gotten a T in Boston when he threw an elbow into Horford's chest after a play was whistled dead. Rondo wasn't even part of the play, but he made a point to walk by Horford who was going to the line and throw an elbow. Boston fans argue that their players are vets and the Hawks are young and shouldn't say a thing. Well, those vets should show some class and act like they have been there before.
Oh, and that is the weakest "headbutt" I have ever seen. Having your forehead touch another person's forehead as you stand toe to toe does not classify as a headbutt, no matter what the nuthugging announcer says about it. Zaza did not try to sucker KG into getting thrown out. KG got too excited, threw an elbow, and almost got booted.
And it's great how Stern should stop being a wuss and let it go when it's concerning KG. But god forbid if Al Horford gets in Pierce's face!!!
Oh, and I do agree about the hand gesture. It should not have been a fine. I am actually surprised Horf didn't get a fine for taunting. A fine there makes sense. A Tech at the time makes sense, but that's really it in my opinion.

I agree with that. But the NBA might not be lenient at all when it comes to contact with a ref (much like players coming off the bench during a fight). I don't remember a guy pushing a ref before and not getting suspended.

I was farther away from the court and didn't catch the push in all the hubbub. I did clearly see the shot from KG that started the incident and I also saw Sam Cassell going out of his way to start crap with Joe Johnson. I assumed Cassell was trying to get Joe thrown out like the crafty vet he is.
Going to donkey punch a leprechaun!

lol... PP looks just crazy like that.. but I can't stand Garnett. I think he is way overrated. The guy has talent, but he's not that great at all. He's very soft. It's just hillarious that some people believe he would've won as much as Duncan if he was on that team. Now, the league won't suspend him, but I think Marvin and Perkins will be since the NBA has shown some consistency when it comes to court violation on altercations.
GO HAWKS.

Any player or coach guilty of intentional physical contact with an official shall automatically be suspended without pay for one game. A fine and/or longer period of suspension will result if circumstances so dictate.

if david stern let donaghy slide for so many years, if he let bennett's meandering slide, if he let jason kidd the decapitator slide...he'll let this slide. Theres no way he'll purposefully sabotage his lal-bos dream final.
Its up to you guys to win without league interference. My prediction is the calls are going to be horrible for you next game. Be ready for it.
