how the officiating went for the Lakers vs Nuggets series. I look around the Denver Nuggets forums and most of the fans say the refs screwed them over while us Laker fans say it was poor on both sides.

Now i know there are some very smart people in these forums that can tell their own thoughts on this topic withought acting too homer....sooo start.

If you get swept you cannot blame officiating.

I thought tonight we were the beneficiary of more calls than they were (Dick Bavetta was involved, so you know somebody's going to get jammed; just glad it wasn't us) and I think over the course of the series we were allowed to play them pretty physically, especially Anthony.

But as just pointed out, there's only so much crying you can do when you basically loaf through the first three games of the series. The Lakers are clearly the better team, they played harder, and they deserve to advance.

You get called offensive fouls if you throw elbows around. As simple as that. They screwed themselves over and all game long they were looking more to make a point being physical and intense than trying to beat us.

Well.....they deserved what they got.

It's the same every year in every series it seems, the losing team always blames the refs because its the easy option out, that being said, my suns have just been straight up outclassed so far and the refs have been 99% perfect.

i think this series was this series. and next series will be much different. everything. just flat out tougher. tons of flopping. tons of hacking. tons of big time plays on both sides. thats the difference with utah and denver. utah is just a much tougher team.

You know, Dick Bavetta is very old, so he can make a lot of stupid decisions officiating without eyeglasses... :D

when you get swept you need to justify your loss, and the best place to start will be the officiating

denver wishes bad refereeing was the reason for their downfall.

yeah I noticed that too, specially last night

but I think those bad calls that happened were the results of the nuggets not playing hard/quitting. honestly to me they looked like they're not playing in the playoffs its like they're playing in the pre season.I think if they only played hard like us they could have gotten the calls they were looking for

They would play hard early in the game/1st/2nd quarter but when their team start trailing by 10-15+ points its like no body cares anymore their D would turn from bad to extreamly horrible no body rotates anymore, and they dont run their offense anymore most of their points would come from isolations, three points.
