AI dominates the ball, and for a team that would like to move the ball, he doesn't exactly fit in.

I think Orlando would be the best fit. They have two defensive minded players in Bogans and Evans playing the 2 that can also knock down a shot. Two lethal 3 point shooters in Turk and Lewis on the wings. Howard down low and Nelson already playing a similiar way to Iverson and AI would be an upgrade there. They would probably have to side with Lewis and for AI to opt out and take what Lewis was getting.

Of course if the Magic win the title, this is all moot :D

The Knicks....great fit, they don't win and they sell tickets, and they need somebody to sell jerseys. What is AI's career winning pct. again? I think the east is where he needs to be anyway.

1.) If you haven't noticed already..Melo and Lebron are two different players. They both play the forward position, but play it differently. Lebron actually moves around on the court and tries to defend people, he's also a very unselfish player. And yes, Iverson and Lebron would compliment eachother better then Melo and AI have. Unfortounatly, the way this Nuggets team is constructed it doesn't play well into Iversons nor Melos strengths. All it does is draw more attention to the weaknesses. In Philly, Iverson would move without the ball all the time, he doesn't do that in Denver. It could be Coaching, I don't know...but he doesn't do it. He would benefit more with Lebrons style of play then with Melos, because essentially, Melo needs the ball in his hands the same way Iverson does, Lebron doesn't. They also have a bigger PG in Delante West that can play defense well (which would have actually been a good pick up for the Nuggets during the trade deadline, just another place where they dropped the ball).

2.) I would think that Phil Jackson would have Iverson play the PG position. If there is any Coach that could get the best out of his players and get Iverson to play the PG position consistantly and buy into it..its Phil Jackson. He would certainly get more out of Iverson then Karl has. Also, Phil Jackson was also one that said he was looking at Iverson during the trades. Phil has one of the biggest egos in the NBA and loves a challenge, nothing would give him greater pleasure then molding Iverson into something people said he couldn't be.

3.) The Knicks are going to be cleaning house this Summer, they will have plenty of space for whatever. They have a new GM. They need to keep a few players from that current roster and go out and get proper players and draft picks...they would be fine. I think they are going to try their best to get rid of Stephon. Because Iverson, Kobe, Lebron and KG are the four biggest box office players in the league, it would make since to go after whichever one was available for Madison Square Garden.

Whats Iversons winning percentage you ask? More then what the Nuggets have done. I'm trying to figure out why you would ask the question about what team Iverson would go to, then argue with everyone that is trying to give you answers. I for one, want Iverson gone...because this team isn't going anywhere anytime soon (some on that team and organization just don't seem commited to winning right now) and this isn't the right system for him to maximize and be effective more. I think it would be in the best interest for him and for that team to part ways. Who knows where he plays...I don't care, as long as he doesn't play there. If Iverson signs for a lesser contract (which I beleive was the point of him opting out in the first place), then that will help him out even more in finding a new home. Why not explore options, then just trying to stay with the Nuggets team? You have your opinion, which is fine..but realistically, a player like Iverson will always have options.

But this team doesn't like to move the ball...and he doesn't fit.

Other then Kenyon, Yak and Camby..no one on this team plays that much defense...so please lets stop already.

He always looked fine throwing lob passes to Iggy in Philly interresting enough.

BIG 123:
Iverson isn't the kind of player you just throw on any team with no thought process behind it. Like the Nuggets did. Even worse was the Nuggets just threw AC with him in the backcourt (couldn't be much worse) and also had no gameplan whatsoever in the first place. It makes me think AI was brought to Denver just for the sake of it to sell tickets and jerseys]. It's like the FO just saw a high risk/reward without any thought process for doing the trade from a team/chemistry standpoint. If they did, then Karl needs the boot tomorrow.

My answer:

Thank you for being in this forum, finally someone understood the AI move.......

Guys look into your archive and look what is happening in the USA....like it is in Europe with Soccer and I always said it here since december 2006... AI traded to denver....Money rains....
Shaq to Phoenix money rains, shaq is a legend people want to see him...

Fans want stars to win = Club want star to raise cash
Fans unhappy with stars = who cares jersey and seat have been sold millions.

wait a minute, how was Denver arena crowded 2 years ago, 3000-5000 people less, how is it now...PACKED!!!! lol
you know what s funny, if Melo goes tommorrow and AI stay it will be packed the same, if AI goes and Melo stay it will be like 2 years ago....they say Iverson is a thug, he has been arrested but it doesn t have this ridiculous smile on his face like Melo had when he was fouled out, he is not punching a guy on the court...i hate to say that and i like Melo, but AI got problems, he solve them, Kobe get the rape story he made it disapear....Melo he add the problems, i think he want people talking about him, but he is taking the wrong way, less and less kids and people will admire him if the guys does not stand up...AI did an amazing season here, new team he want to do well and get his ring...for the good of the nuggs and Melo it s time for a move...one of both, but 1 has to leave, the age have nothing to do here....

Cmon in 2006 he knew that AI will arrive soon in Denver, he got kicked for 15games suspension!!!! this guy really want a title or he is already getting too much for his age...?
