I guess Doc thought that if he forced the C's to watch how badly they played in game 3 that would be enough to motivate them to win game 4. SO he gave them the day off from practice and they all ate ice cream. How nice. Then game 4 comes and other than a productive 6 mnutes to start the game and a good 3rd qtr the team looked completely out of sync the rest of the time. Cassell and Garnett almost ran into each other. posey blew defensive assignments, Powe was out of position on the boards etc etc. Don't you think that a little practice would have helped? But Doc's incompetence didn't end there. Once again as in game 3 he ran his starters into the ground. JB is right that Doc needed to sub out garnett and allen at the end of the 3rd. Where is tony allen? why didn't eddie get in earlier? Cassell has stunk it up for 2 games in a row as has PJ Brown. Dare I say that Scal might bring some life to this team? Put Veal on Smith for a few minutes. I guarantee Scall will chase him all over the place. And tony allen on JOeJohnson. How do you not make that call when JJ is burning ray allen play after play. Even Posey for crying out loud. Of course all of Doc's stupidity was matched by Paul Pierce once again coming up small in the playoffs. As in the Indiana series Paul just can't help himself with all that macho BS and once again it's costing his team. Ditto for Garnett and Perkins. We're supposed to be the older more mature team. Instead we're acting like a bunch of punks. Maybe ice cream was the right thing for this group since they're behaving like children. My big concern right now is that garnett and Perk don't get suspended.

Why are you dumping on Pierce.? He did nothing that is costing the team, except for not playing better (just like the rest of the team). It is costing HIM $25,000. Why not get on Garnett for losing his composure and possibly facing suspension? That is FAR more harmful than anything Pierce did. Pierce shouldn't even be fined, imo, especially if Horford isn't being fined for his antics.
